How to reset the Linksys E9450 router to factory default settings

When you reset the router, all the settings will be back to factory default such as the WiFi name and password.  The steps below will show you how to reset your Linksys E9450 WiFi 6 Router to factory default settings.
 
There are two ways to reset your Linksys E9450.  Select from the options below to know how:

Manual Reset
Software Reset

Step 1:
Make sure that your Linksys E9450 is turned ON.
 
Step 2:
Press and hold the reset button at the back of the router for 10 seconds then release.  The power light on the front of the router will turn OFF and will start blinking blue.

Once the Power and WiFi light on the Linksys E9450 are solid blue, the router is ready for setup.  For instructions, click here

Software Reset
 
Step 1:
Launch a web browser, enter “192.168.1.1” in the Address bar and hit [ENTER].

Step 2: 
Enter your Password and then click Login.

NOTE:  The default Password is admin.

 
Step 3:
When the Linksys E9450’s dashboard appears, click the Configuration tab.
 
Step 4:
Under Configuration, go to Administration > Device Reset.

Step 5: 
Click the Factory Reset button. 

 
Step 6:
Click OK.  This will reset your router to factory default settings.
