Changing the Linksys Smart WiFi Cloud Account password using the Linksys app

This article will give you step-by-step instructions on how to change the password of your Linksys Smart WiFi Cloud Account using the Linksys app.

Before you begin:

 

  • You must be logged out from your Linksys Smart WiFi Cloud Account. To do this, tap on the menu icon at the upper-left side of the screen and go to My Account > Log Out.

NOTE: Images may vary depending on the device you're using. In the example below, an Android™ device is used.

Step 1:
On the Linksys app login page, tap Log in.

Step 2:
On the Use Email tab, tap Forgot Password? to start the process of changing your password.

Step 3:
Enter your Email Address then tap Reset Password.

Step 4:
On the next screen, tap Close.

Step 5:
Check your email and open the message from the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Mailer.

Step 6:
Once you've opened the message, tap on the Click Here link to reset your password.

Step 7:
On the Password Reset page, enter and verify your new password then tap Ok.

QUICK TIP: For better security, avoid using a password similar to the previous one.


You should now have successfully changed your password.

To check if your new password is working, launch the Linksys app again and log in using your email address and new password.
