Setting up the Linksys EA series routers using an Android device

The Linksys app allows you to monitor and manage your Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Routers. With the Linksys app, you can access your home network anywhere, anytime.

This article will teach you how to set up Linksys EA series routers using an Android™ device. If you're using an iOS device, click
here for instructions. For setting up your router using the Smart Setup Wizard, click here.

Before you begin:
  • Have your Linksys default Wi-Fi name and password ready. The default Wi-Fi name and password of the router are located on the bottom of the router or in the quick start guide.
  • Make sure your internet access is working.
  • Power OFF your modem. If you are replacing an existing router, make sure to disconnect it and move it out of the way. After that, connect your modem to the internet port of your new router using an ethernet cable then plug the power adapter of both your modem and your new router.
