Resetting a Linksys E9450 router to factory default settings

When you reset the router, all the settings will be back to factory default such as the WiFi name and password.  The steps below will show you how to reset your Linksys E9450 WiFi 6 Router to factory default settings.

NOTE:  This article is for Linksys E9450-AH, E9450-CN, E9450-JP, and E9450-KR.
 

There are two ways to reset your Linksys E9450.  Select from the options below to know how:

Manual Reset
Software Reset

Step 1:
Make sure that your Linksys E9450 is turned ON.
 
Step 2:
Press and hold the reset button at the back of the router for 10 seconds then release.  The solid blue power light will start flashing orange and then turn OFF.

Once the power and WiFi lights on the Linksys E9450 are back to solid blue, the router is ready to be set up again.  For instructions, click here.

Software Reset
 
Step 1:
Log in to the Linksys E9450's web interface.  For instructions, click here.

 
Step 2:
When the Linksys E9450’s dashboard appears, click the Management tab.
 
Step 3:
Under Management, click the dropdown menu under Settings then click on Restore Default.

Step 4:
Click the Restore Default Settings button.

Step 5:
Click OK.  This will reset your router to factory default settings.

Once the power and WiFi lights on the Linksys E9450 are back to solid blue, the router is ready to be set up again.  For instructions, click here.
