- Connecting a BEFVP41 to an Intel Net Structure 3110, 3120, 3130 VPN Gateway
This article will guide you in connecting your BEFVP41 to an Intel Net Structure 3110, 3120, 3130 VPN Gateway:
Create a security profile called Linksys for easy reference.
NOTE: This example is using 3DES, HMAC MD5.
Set the Key lifetime to 182400 on the BEFVP41 and 2 days on the Net structure.
NOTE: By default, the Linksys is set at 3800 seconds, which equals 1 hour on the Intel Net structure.
Check Tunnel ESP mode and Perfect Forward Secrecy only.
NOTE: By default, they are already selected.
Enable the Keepalive and Timeout checkboxes.
Set the Key on the Linksys router to Pre-shared Key.
This is creating a security association from the local IP (where the Intel NetStructure resides) to a remote location to their local subnet.
This is what it should look like after you security association has been entered:
Apply the configuration changes.
Access the gateway’s web-based setup page. For instructions, click here.
Enter “http://192.168.1.1/IPSecAdvance.htm” on the Address bar, and set the settings in the picture below. Click the Apply button and Continue button.
Enter “http://192.168.1.1/Filters.htm” on the Address bar and press [Enter].
In the Filter tab, enable IPSec Pass through, SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection), and PPTP pass through.
Disable the MTU.
