Identifying Linksys dual-band routers and devices

Linksys dual-band routers have the capability to transmit and receive signals from 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks simultaneously or one at a time.

Compared to a router that only supports the 2.4 GHz frequency, having a 5 GHz wireless band is advantageous since it offers a significantly improved performance especially for networks that stream video, music and use wireless gaming connectivity.

The table below lists the Linksys routers with dual-band capability.

NOTE:  If your product model is not listed in the table above, you may have a single-band router running on 2.4 GHz frequency band only.

There are also other Linksys devices (extenders, adapters, etc.) which are dual-band and can connect to both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks.
