HARDWARE INFORMATION

1. What is PLTK300?

The Linksys Powerline Turbo Bridge + Switch Kit (PLTK300) consists of one PLTE200 Powerline 1.0 Turbo Ethernet Adapter and one PLTS200 Powerline 1.0 Turbo Ethernet 4-Port Adapter.

These devices enable networking over existing Powerlines in the home without requiring you to set up any new wires.  With them, you can use your Powerlines to transfer data up to 85 Mbps data rates on Powerlines with more than 10 Mbps TCP throughput.  This is suitable for SDTV streams (uncompressed), networking, and VoIP.  The device is also backward compatible with existing HomePlug 1.0 installations.

2. What are the IP Address, Username, and Password to log in to the PLK300?

The device does not have an IP Address, a username, nor a password.

3. Can I reboot the PLTK300 in any other way aside from powercycling?

No.

SECURITY SUPPORT

1. How do I manage the PLTK300? 

The Powerline utility that was pre-set in the CD is used to manage the PLTK300.

2. Can I set up encryption between the Powerline devices?

Yes, by using the Powerline utility.

3. What level of security does the PLTK300 support? 

The PLTK300 supports 56-Bit DES Link Encryption.       

LEDs 

1. What LEDs does the PLTK300 have?

Power (BLUE):
The Power LED lights up and stays solid while the Gateway is powered ON.

LAN (BLUE):
The LAN LED lights up solid when the Ethernet Link is detected.  The LED light flashes while Sending/Receiving data.

HomePlug (BLUE):
The HomePlug LED lights up solid when a HomePlug Link is detected.  The LED light flashes while Sending/Receiving data.   

SPECIAL FEATURES  

1. What is the maximum data rate for the PLTK300? 

The maximum data transfer rate can be up to 85 Mbps data rates on Powerlines with more than 10 Mbps of TCP throughput.

2. Does the PLTK300 have a web-based setup page for management?       

No.

3. What internal power supply does the PLTK300 use?       

The PLTK300 has an 85-240V AC, 50-60Hz internal power supply.
