Resetting the range expander to factory defaults

Resetting the range expander will restore it to its factory default settings.  This process is performed if you have upgraded the firmware of your device or if you need to reconfigure the range expander.

NOTE:  If you want to apply the same settings of your range expander after resetting, you can create a back up before proceeding.

There are two (2) ways to reset the range expander to factory default settings:

i.    Manually resetting the device
ii.   Resetting through the web-based setup page

Manually resetting the device

Press the Reset button located at the right panel of the device beside the Auto Configuration button for eight (8) seconds.

Resetting through the web-based setup page

Step 1:
Launch a web browser and access the web-based setup page of your range expander.  For instructions, click here.

NOTE:  If you are using a Mac computer to access the web-based setup page, click here.

Step 2:
Under Setup, click Password.

Step 3:
Select Yes on the Restore Factory Defaults section.

Step 4:
Click Save Settings.

Step 5:
To complete the process, unplug the range extender's power cord and leave it OFF for 30 seconds.  Once done, plug the power cord back.

Once you have reset the range expander, you can re-configure it to your preferred settings.
