Resolving slow Wi-Fi and speed test result after initial setup in Linksys WRT32X

During the initial setup, the Linksys WRT32X AC3200 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Gaming Router with Killer Prioritization Engine discretely runs a speed test to determine how much speed should be given to your prioritized devices.  If the result is significantly different with your supposed internet speed, you might not get the best performance out of your Linksys WRT32X.

NOTE:  Running the speed test from the Dashboard will only show results.  It won’t make the necessary changes to the Prioritization engine.  The speed test MUST be done from the Prioritization page for Prioritization baseline readings to change.

To resolve this, follow the steps below.

Step 1:
Access your router’s web interface.  Click here for instructions.

Step 2:
On the web interface, click Prioritization.

Step 5:
Enter the values provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Mbits/s for Download and Upload.  Then click Save.

NOTE:  If you are uncertain of your internet speed values, please contact your ISP.  It is important to make sure these numbers are accurate to get the most out of the device prioritization feature.
