Changing the Linksys Smart WiFi Cloud Account password via the web UI

This article will guide you in changing the password of your Linksys Smart WiFi Cloud Account on the web-based setup page.  Before you begin, make sure that your computer is connected to the router's Wi-Fi.

NOTE:  If you need to connect to the router using a hardwired computer, connect your computer to one of the ethernet ports at the back of the router.
 
Step 1:
Launch a web browser. 
 
Step 2:
Enter "https://linksyssmartwifi.com/" in the address bar then press [Enter].  Then, click the Forgot your password? link.


​​QUICK TIP:  You may also enter "https://linksys.com/reset" in the address bar to directly change your password.

Step 3:
Enter the email address you used to log in to your Linksys Smart WiFi Cloud Account.  Then, click on Send instructions. 

NOTE:  Make sure you have access to the email address you provided.

Step 4:
A confirmation message will be shown instructing you to check your email.

Step 5:
Log in to your email and open the message from the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Mailer (noreply@linksyssmartwifi.com).

NOTE:  Make sure to check your junk or spam emails if you don’t see the message on your inbox.

Step 6:
Once the message is opened, click on the link provided to reset your password.

Step 7:
On the Password Reset page, enter a new password in the New Password field and confirm it in the Confirm Password field.  Click Ok to continue.  

NOTE:  For better security, avoid reusing the same password for different accounts and instead use a completely new one.

Congratulations! You have successfully changed your password.

You may now s​​​​ign in to your Linksys Smart WiFi Cloud Account using your new password.
