This article will show you how to automatically upgrade the firmware of your Velop system. Click the links below for specific instructions.

Step 1:
On your mobile device, launch the Linksys app.
NOTE: Images may vary depending on the operating system of your device. In the examples below, an iOS device is used.
Step 2:
Log in to access the Velop dashboard. For instructions when using an Android™ device, click here. For iOS, click here.

Step 3:
Tap the Menu


Step 4:
Tap Network Administration.

Step 5:
By default, the Automatic Firmware Update feature is enabled and will upgrade the firmware whenever a new version is released. If you have more than one node in your Velop network, each will be upgraded.

If you turn OFF Automatic Firmware Update, you will be prompted when a new firmware release is available. When this happens, tap Update now to upgrade the firmware.

Step 6:
Do not unplug or restart your Velop system during a firmware upgrade. Wait until the light on your node is solid blue, indicating that your Velop is ready.

Step 1:
On a computer connected to the Velop's WiFi, launch a web browser to access the LinksysSmartWiFi.com page. For instructions, click here.
Step 2:
Click Connectivity under Router Settings.
Step 3:
By default, the Automatic box is checked to allow automatic firmware upgrades whenever a new version is released. If you have more than one node in your Velop network, each will be upgraded. If you disable this feature, you will have to click the Check for Updates button to check if a new firmware is available before you can upgrade your device.
You will be prompted when a new firmware release is available. When this happens, tap Update to upgrade the firmware. If you have multiple nodes in the network, click on the arrowhead alongside Details to know which node needs the update.
Step 4:
Do not unplug or restart your Velop system during a firmware upgrade. Wait until the light on your node is solid blue, indicating that your Velop is ready.
