Rated 1 out of 5 by from worthless product I bought this product to extend from my Linksys router only to find out that it won't even connect. What a scam. Next time I will buy a netgear product as this is bogus product will return asap

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some info for a rookie Setup is easy as 1 2 3. Every house needs at least 2 extenders. Because you create a whole new wifi.ext. it's not extending your original wifi.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed in Router Performance Again I was hoping that this would correct the spooling problem I was having with streaming video over my Linksys router. It only helped a little.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great after setup I bought it because of the rating and the price and it arrived quickly. When I tried to setup the extender the instructions was poorly written and useless. When I tried to setup using my phone I kept getting kicked out. Chatted with Jim at tech support and he got me up and running in no time.

I live in apartment surrounded with trees, and I would like to take my phone /tablet without getting disconnected. Do you thing it will be wise for me purchase an extender. Please advise. Thank you

Asked by: josie
The RE6250 will only extend the coverage especially to areas where the internet is non-existent. If you will stay in the same area, then your device will not be disconnected. But, if you want your device to stay connected at all times, then you need to make sure that every corner of your house has internet connection.

Will this work with Linksys MR2000?

Asked by: Matthew1068
Hi, Matthew1068. The Linksys RE6250 will still work with MR2000. However, the extended network will not have a Mesh capability as the Linksys RE6250 range extender is not Mesh-enabled. If you wish to expand your mesh network, you can add a Velop node or another Linksys Mesh WiFi router.

will this work with a setup that has 34 nodes of WHW03?

Asked by: Baroque
Hi! Technically, the RE6250 extender should work as long as there’s an active Wi-Fi connection that it can connect to. But, this extender do not support mesh.

DOES THIS EXTENDER SUPPORT GUEST NETWORK?

Asked by: MIKE-E
You can choose to extend either the primary network or the guest network for a single band but not both at the same time. One option though is to have the extender use the guest network to extend the 2.4ghz guest and the 5ghz primary or vice versa. That'd give you a secure wifi for your devices and one for your guests.
