Rated 1 out of 5 by from Drastically reduces speed and instructions wrong I suppose it does work to extend the network, but it reduced my download speed to literally 25% of what I get at the very edge of my existing Wi-Fi (88mbps vs 356mbps) - even though my top speeds are well within the max specs for the device. Upload speed was reduced by 50%. The instructions are also incorrect - they say to wait for a solid light when actually you wait for a flashing orange light (never turns solid). I delayed setting this thing up because I trusted the Linksys brand and am outside my return window otherwise this would be going back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good. Them bad.rgen stopped working I connected to my Xfinity wifi without issue then a few weeks later started getting issues on the xfinity internet feed. The Xfinity tech came and ran tests and said that I can't run the Lynksys 6500 extender as they are old technology and not compatible with the wifi6 tech that Xfinity uses. Disconnected the linksys and my internet works again.if I turn on again I start to get connection issues after a couple of hours. I was told by xfinity I should get a mesh unit. Not an extender for wifi6. Lynksys needs to put that info in their specs. Now I own a boat anchor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wi-fi in the yard The extender provided wi-fi reception outside of the house in areas where it was needed. Approximately a full radius of 60' - 75', depending on which side of the house that your on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Weak Signal I found the signal to be disappointingly little weak. The signal at 30ft was the same as the base unit meanwhile my neighbor at a 100 ft was booming through.

Can this be used to expand signal from an EA8300? I already have 1 RE9000 expanding signal to my 2nd floor. I'd like to get better signal to garage for a wifi camera that uses 2.4GHz to communicate.

*Range specifications are based on performance test results under normal use case conditions. Actual ranges will increase or decrease depending on wireless obstructions, operating environments and building material. Wireless coverage claims are used only as reference and are not guaranteed, as each wireless network is unique.

**Maximum performance derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specification. Actual performance can vary, including lower wireless network capacity, data throughput rate, range and coverage. Performance depends on many factors, conditions and variables, including distance from the access point, volume of network traffic, building materials and construction, operating system used, mix of wireless products used, interference and other adverse conditions.
