Rated 5 out of 5 by from Linksys Quality and reliability I had to replace my Norton Core because they don't want to, or care for residential customers or their needs... I have always been satisfied with Linksys Routers Speed, ease of setup, and expansion/ home coverage. This and 2 extenders (That automatically connect after plugged into a household electrical outlet. I'm impressed with the range and speed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great choice for HomeKit setup Great product if need something HomeKit compatible. I would’ve gone with different product if not that, but this performs good enough. If you have 1 Gb internet and large house I definitely recommend to wire nodes, otherwise it’s annoying when the internet slows down sometimes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not good for gaming The mesh system is terrible for gaming. Major problems with latency whenever the child nodes are plugged in. Attempting to make an exchange with Linksysy for a WiFi router suitable for gaming and streaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Setup a struggle but then good. So far great coverage (3 days). Setup wasn't exactly smooth but worked through it. Now strong, fast wifi.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stay away from this mesh system. Very unstable. Child nodes won’t connect. Been on phone with Linksys technical support for hours. They elevated to senior technicians but they haven’t called me back yet. Unacceptable that such a basic thing as connecting a Linksys brand parent node to its child nodes is so difficult and cumbersome that even technical support can’t make it happen.

Is this compatible with iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014)?

Asked by: CJS1
It is backwoods compatible with older wifi generations. But with older tech, your speeds are limited to what the iMac is capable of.

Is this Wi-Fi 6 system compatible with the original Velop mesh nodes? Can I use them as additional nodes?

Asked by: GN WA
I was able to use my old nodes in conjunction with the new system. Set up new and add the old. I used old in basement

I have a single router, where can I buy the satellites? I dont see satellites sold seperately. OR are the routers and satellites the same in Linksys velop series?

Asked by: iamvim
My routers are three AX4200 and all are the same. Each can be configured as either master or satellite node.

If I purchase the MX 12600 system could I add an extender to this in order to reach another dwelling 150' away?

Asked by: Handshake
You can add additional nodes to the mesh, but unless there is only one wall (or none) between them, I'm not sure what kind of reception you'd get.

I have a doubt.  if I have devices that connect only to the 2.4 frequency can I divide the network into two distinct ones?  or is there any system?

Asked by: Finalyxre
No, you can not divide into separate networks. But, it sends both signals and if your device can find the correct one it will connect. I have mostly 2.4 devices and all of them connect.
