Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks good but doesn't work The router can not be configured locally. It needs access to linksys sites to do anything. So sometimes, it doesn't work and there is nothing you can do about except post the serialnumber to the excel sheet of the customer service agent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Going from Apple to Linksys I have owned this system (3 nodes) for a couple of weeks and can honestly say it is just as good if not better than Apple routers (I had 1 TC and 2 extremes) in creating a great mesh. But there are definitely downsides. For example, all nodes had a cat-6 backhaul and even wifi-5 Apple seemed just a bit quicker in response. up and down speeds are better with this product, though. The BIGGEST downside is that as of today, I cannot get the GUEST network to have internet access. It is there. I can connect to it. But it doesn't have internet. Apple routers did. I cannot explain this phenomenon. Neither can Linksys support, other than saying "there is a firmware update coming". After Thanksgiving, I have had to share my network password with my ENTIRE family, guests, their BF/GF...Frustrating to say the least. And I have 60 devices connected. Not interested in changing the password in EVERY SINGLE ONE, to protect my network. So buyer beware. You might be better off with a tri-band/wireless backhaul.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommended! Setting-up my wireless home network was easy and I get full coverage throughout my house, including my front and back yards. The network handles multiple devices without ever slowing down. I work from home so I needed a reliable system and so far its been a great experience. Highly recommend it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does not play nice with legacy VELOPs but strong I introduced my new 3 pack of MX5500 to take over as a replacement parent node and 2 replacement child nodes from AC2200 linksys nodes. Needless to say, the retention of a great deal of my AC2200 nodes in their location proved (after nearly 5 hours of help desk calls) to likely provide interference that rendered successful Wi-Fi client devices a mixed bag in terms of connection. In the majority of locations the MX5500 was all that was needed but this certainly does not match the marketing copy about working well in tandem with legacy Velop connections.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A quality internet system for the home and beyond We have only had the new system a short time, but so far it has been working well. I used one of the two secondary “child” nodes to bring WiFi into my shop, about 150 feet away from the house. The Velop mesh system has interfaced exceedingly well with a point to point CPE wireless Ethernet bridge, in large part thanks to the excellent help from Linksys tech support. We now have fast internet at home and in the shop!

I own a resort which is a house and 6 cabins on 1.8 acres. I would like to use this system to provide wifi to all of the cabins. I will have a wifi in the house and then about 100' away in a cabin and another one 50' away. Would it work?

Asked by: York's Resort
Hi! The Linksys Atlas Pro Dual-band Mesh WiFi 6 system can cover up to 2,700 sq. ft. per node depending on possible obstructions, but since every home is different, you can always add nodes where it is needed. Feel free to reach us at LinksysCares@linksys.com so we can provide the best recommendation for you.

I previously posted the question "Does the MX5503 act as a Zigbee hub?". The response I received was to look at link: https://www.linksys.com/support-article?articleNum=318336. This did NOT answer the question other than "Zigbee" not listed there. ???

Asked by: R&R.
Yes, you can, R&R. The Linksys Atlas Pro 6 Dual-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System is compatible with all Velop products and Linksys mesh routers. It is also recommended to set the node with higher and better specs as the parent node to fully maximize its features.
