The PLWK400 is a Powerline kit that consists of:

• One (1) PLE400 - a Powerline device that has one (1) Ethernet port
• One (1) PLW400 - a wireless Powerline device that has one (1) Ethernet port

These devices allow you to connect wired and wireless network devices to your home network.  To know more about each device, click the links below:

NOTE:  A Powerline network consists of at least two (2) Powerline devices that operate on the same circuit breaker.  It allows your computers and other wired devices to access the Internet.  For detailed instructions on how to create a network using your Powerline adapters, click here.  If you are going to set up a wireless Powerline adapter like the PLW400, click here.

Front Panel

 Power (Green) - lights up when the Powerline adapter is powered ON.

 Ethernet (Green) - lights up when a wired network device is connected to the Ethernet port of the Powerline device.

 Powerline (Green) - lights up when the adapter is connected to the Powerline network.  The LED flashes to indicate network activity.

Side Panel

 Standby/Reset – restores your Powerline adapter to factory defaults.  To do this, press and hold the Standby/Reset button for at least 10 seconds using a pin or a pointed object.

Bottom Panel

 HomePlug Simple Connect button - configures advanced security for your Powerline network.

 Ethernet - connects a computer or another networking device.
 

Minimum System Requirements

• Any computer or other device with Ethernet network adapter
• Available AC power outlet
• Setup utility requires a computer with CD-ROM drive running Windows® XP SP3, Windows Vista® SP2, or Windows® 7 SP1

Front Panel

 Power (Green) – lights up when the Powerline adapter is powered ON.

Left Panel

 Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) button – configures wireless security for devices that support WPS.

 HomePlug Simple Connect button – configures advanced security for your Powerline network.

 Reset – Restores your Powerline adapter to factory defaults.  To do this, press and hold the Reset button for at least 10 seconds using a pin or a pointed object.

NOTE:  There are three (3) ways to reset the Powerline adapter:  through hardware reset, software reset, and utility reset.  To learn more, click here.

Right Panel

 Power Switch – power the PLW400  ON or  OFF.

 Ethernet – connects a computer or another networking device.
