This article will guide you how to reinstall a notebook wireless adapter’s driver.

Step 1:
Click Start and select All Program Files or Programs.

Step 2:
Click on Linksys Wireless Adapter and click Uninstall to remove the file.



NOTE:  Wait for the Install Shield Wizard to complete before re-installing the drivers.

Re-Installing the Driver

NOTE:  Before re-installing the driver, unplug your Linksys Wireless Adapter.

Step 1:
Insert the Linksys Setup CD into your laptop’s CD-ROM drive.  On the Welcome screen, select your language and click Next.


Step 2:
Click Click Here to Start button to begin the installation process.


Step 3:
Read the License Agreement then Next.

Step 4:
Insert the wireless notebook adapter into your laptop and click Next.

NOTE:  Image may vary depending on the model number of your device.


Step 5:
The Linksys Wireless Network Monitor automatically appears on your screen.  Select the name of your Wireless Network Name (SSID) then click Connect.

NOTE:  If you want to configure the adapter manually, click Manual Setup and enter the necessary information needed.

To check if the drivers were properly installed, check if the Linksys Wireless Network Monitor reports that the Adapter is Active.  To know how, click here.
