Using the Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) on Linksys range extenders

There are two (2) methods in setting up a client with Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS).  You can either use the physical button that your Linksys device has or you can log in to the web-based setup page of your Linksys device and select one of the three (3) options for configuring WPS.

i. Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) button

ii. Web-based WPS button

NOTE:  The Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ configures one (1) device at a time.  The device you want to connect through Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ must also support WPS.  Check your device's documentation to verify.

i. Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) button

If your router has a Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ button, press it then press the WPS User-added image  button at the side panel of your range extender.

QUICK TIP:  If the range extender has not been configured, pressing the WPS button will configure the range extender to pair with an existing wireless router or access point.  However, if the extender is already configured, pressing the WPS button will configure the range extender to pair with wireless clients like wireless laptops or any device that supports WPS.
