The PLW400 is a Powerline AV Wireless Network Extender that turns your home’s wiring into a network of digital devices. It features one (1) Ethernet port where you can connect a router, computer, or other network device. It also has a wireless access point function that lets you connect several wireless devices to it.
Front Panel
Powerline (Green) – Lights up when the adapter is connected to the Powerline network. The LED flashes to indicate network activity.
Ethernet (Green) – Lights up when a wired network device is connected to Ethernet (network) port of the Powerline device.
Wireless (Green) – Lights up when a wireless network device is connected to the PLW400.
Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) (Green) – Flashes when a wireless network device is connecting to the PLW400 using Wi-Fi Protected Setup™.
Power (Green) – Lights up when the Powerline adapter is powered ON.
Left Panel
Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) button – Configures wireless security for devices that support WPS.
HomePlug Simple Connect button – Configures advanced security (the network password) for your Powerline network.
Reset – Restores your Powerline adapter to factory defaults. To do this, press and hold the Reset button for at least 10 seconds using a pin or a pointed object.
NOTE: There are three (3) ways to reset the Powerline adapter: through hardware reset, software reset, and utility reset. To learn more, click here.
Right Panel
Power Switch – Turn the PLW400
ON or
OFF.
Bottom Panel
Ethernet – Connects a computer or another networking device.
Minimum Setup Requirements
• Any computer or other device with Ethernet network adapter
• Available AC power outlet
