Your Wi-Fi name (SSID) is basically the router's wireless name and is one way of securing the network. The SSID is shared by all devices in your Wi-Fi and therefore, has to be unique since this will identify your network from the rest.

Follow the steps below to know how you can change the Wi-Fi name of your Linksys router with classic UI:
Step 1:
Access the router’s web-based setup page. For instructions, click here.
NOTE: If you are using Mac® to access the router's web-based setup page, click here.
Step 2:
When the router’s web-based setup page opens, click Wireless.
Step 3:
At the Wireless > Basic Wireless Settings page, select Manual.
Step 4:
Look for Network Name (SSID) and change it to your desired name for the Wi-Fi.
