Configuring Drive Backup using the NSLU2

This feature allows you to schedule backups of Disk 1 onto Disk 2.  This article will guide you in configuring drive backup using the NSLU2.

Step 1:
Access the network attached storage’s web-based setup page.  For instructions, click here.

NOTE:  If you are using Mac to access the network storage's web-based setup page, click here.

Step 2:
On the set-up page, click the Administration tab.

NOTE: If the setup page looks different from the image shown, upgrade the firmware of your network storage device.  For instructions on how to upgrade your firmware your network storage device, click here.

Step 3:
Click the Advanced sub-tab on the Administration page.

Step 4:
Click the Backup sub-tab.

Step 5:
Verify that the option to Enable drive backup from Disk 1 to Disk 2 has a check mark.

Step 6:
Specify the Backup Time by clicking the drop-down arrow then, specify the time

NOTE: In this example, we have set network storage to perform a backup everyday at 12:00 am.

Step 7:
Click the Start Backup Now button then, click Save.
