Locating the IP address of your Linksys Smart Gigabit Switch using a Linksys gigabit VPN router

If you are using a Linksys Gigabit VPN router in your network, you can locate the IP address of your Smart Switch through the steps provided in this article.

NOTE:  The Linksys Gigabit VPN routers LRT214 and LRT224 are used here as examples.

Step 1:
Log in to your router’s web-based setup page using your router's IP address.  For instructions, click here.

Step 2:
On the main screen, click Configuration.

Step 3:
Click the DHCP on the left panel.

Step 4:
Click DHCP Status.

Step 5:

On the CLIENT TABLE, you can identify your switch by its MAC address and see the IP address that has been assigned to your device.

NOTE:  You can find your device’s MAC address printed on the box.

QUICK TIP:  The system light is solid blue when the device is using an IP address assigned by a DHCP server.  However, when it is using the factory default IP address, the system light will blink blue.
