How to backup and restore the Linksys Wireless-AC Access Point settings using the web-based setup page

The Configuration Backup/Restore section of your Linksys Wireless-AC Access Point’s web-based setup page allows you to download the configuration file from your access point to an external storage/computer or to upload a previously saved configuration file from an external storage to your Access Point.
 
NOTE:  Saving a configuration backup file to your computer or to an external storage after installing the access point is highly recommended so you can easily restore its settings from this file.

 
The backup and restore configuration can be done in two (2) ways using the Linksys Wireless-AC Access Point’s web-based setup page.  For instructions on how to access the page, click here.  Once the page is up, choose from the following options to proceed:

Backup/Restore to/from TFTP server

 
Backup/Restore to/from Local Computer
 
Backup Configuration
 
To create a backup file of the current settings:

 
Step 1:
Click Backup.
 
Step 2:
If you don’t have your browser set up to save downloaded files automatically, locate where you want to save the file, rename it if you like, and click Save.
 
Restore Configuration
 
To restore settings from a backup file:

 
Step 1:
Click Browse.
 
Step 2:
Locate and select the previously saved backup file.
 
Step 3:
Click Restore.

Backup Configuration
 
To create a backup file of the current settings:

 
Step 1:
Enter the destination file name you plan to save in TFTP server.
 
Step 2:
Enter the IPv4 address for the TFTP server.
 
Step 3:
Click Backup.
 
Restore Configuration
 
To restore settings from a backup file:

 
Step 1:
Enter the source file name stored in TFTP server.
 
Step 2:
Enter the IPv4 address for the TFTP server.
 
Step 3:
Click Restore.
