A lot of wireless products in the US are shipped with a default channel of 6 like the Linksys Access Point. If you’re encountering interference from other devices, try changing channels to get around these interferences. To change the channel your wireless network is using, you have to go to the access point’s web-based setup page.
Changing the Access Point’s Channel
Access the access point’s web-based setup page. For instructions, click here.
NOTE: If you are using Mac to access the access point's web-based setup page, click here.
When the access point’s web-based setup page appears, click Wireless.
Look for Channel and change it to your desired channel. The recommended channels are 1, 6, and 11 since they are considered non-overlapping channels.
