Downloading the latest firmware from the Linksys support site using a macOS Sierra 10.12.6

This article will provide instructions on how to download the latest firmware for your Linksys device using a macOS® Sierra 10.12.6.
NOTE:  Make sure that your computer has an active internet connection.  If your computer is plugged into the router and cannot get online, disconnect the computer from your router and plug it directly into your cable or DSL modem.

Step 1:
Visit the
Linksys support site

Step 2:
Enter the model number of your device in the Search by Product or Model Number search field and press [Enter].

QUICK TIP:  If you don’t know the model number and the hardware version of your device, click the How do I find my model number? link.

Step 3:
On the Product Results, click on the sf140798-002_en_v3.png button of your device.
Step 4:
You will be directed to the product's support page.  Click on the DOWNLOADS / FIRMWARE button.

You can also scroll down and click Download Software.

Step 5:
Select the hardware version of your device.

The hardware version is located beside or beneath the model number and is labeled version, ver., or V.  If there is no version number beside the model number on your Linksys product, the device is Version 1.  If you still have trouble finding your version number, see the complete article to learn more.
Step 6:
Under the Firmware, click the Download link to start downloading your file.
Step 7:
A progress bar will appear showing the status of your download.  It will automatically save on your Downloadsfolder.
NOTE:  Once the download is complete, you may proceed with the driver or firmware update of your Linksys device.
