How can I reset the Linksys EA4500 to factory defaults?There are two ways to reset the Linksys EA4500 to factory defaults:
 
  • Hardware reset - Press and hold the Reset button at the back panel of the Linksys EA4500 for about 10 seconds then release.
  • Software reset - Reset the router through the web interface. Launch a web browser, enter "192.168.1.1" in the Address bar, and hit [ENTER]. Under the Administration tab, select the Factory Defaults sub-tab then click the Restore Factory Defaults button.
What is the warranty period of the Linksys EA4500?The warranty period is dependent on the country of purchase.
How can I reboot the Linksys EA4500?

You can turn the Linksys EA4500 OFF and ON by unplugging the power cord and plugging it back.

What can be used with the USB port on the Linksys EA4500?It can either be used to add a USB storage device like a hard drive/flash disk or to connect a USB printer. The Linksys EA4500 can also be used as either a NAS or print server, but not at the same time.

If you are using the latest firmware for your Linksys EA4500 or have updated to the Linksys Smart WiFi, the default WiFi name is Linksysxxxxx (where xxxxx is the last five digits of the router's serial number. The router’s serial number is located underneath the device.

FIRMWARE UPDATE
How do I upgrade the firmware on the Linksys EA4500?The Linksys EA4500 router has an Auto Firmware Update feature. With this, you will also be able to restore to a previously loaded firmware. You can also update your router’s firmware using Linksys Smart WiFi.

Does the Linksys EA4500 have a built-in FTP server? Yes, you can create an FTP server that can be accessed from the internet or your local network. You can also configure the FTP server using Linksys Smart WiFi.
Does the Linksys EA4500 support WiFi Quality of Service (QoS) and Internet Access Priority QoS? Yes.

Can I print a shared file on my computer while I'm connected to the Guest network? No. The Guest network is a secured network that provides ONLY internet access to WiFi devices with the router limiting communication with other computers. It has a different password from the main network and does not allow file and printer access.
What is the Anonymous Disk Access feature on the Linksys EA4500 web interface for?When enabled, Anonymous Disk Access allows anyone connected to your Linksys router to access the files on your storage device in Read and Write mode. You can disable this feature to protect your files from being accessed by anonymous users.
Can I add or create a Game and an Application to the Priority list that are using the same port numbers? No. You can only add either but not both at the same time.
