|OpenVPN Setting Descriptions|
|Allow remote access to this page||To allow remote access to the OpenVPN feature via the cloud you need to check this box. This option is turned off by default, meaning that if you log in via www.linksysmartwifi.com you will not see the OpenVPN widget. You will need to log in locally to allow this using the router’s LAN IP address (example: http://192.168.1.1).|
|IP Address x.x.x.x - This is the WAN IP address of the router and this would populate if your router is online. You can change the Port, Protocol, and IP Address Range subnet if needed.|
Existing DNS name - Enter your DNS name. If you have a dynamic WAN IP address this is the preferred method to avoid connection failures due to every time your Internet Service Provider (ISP) changes your WAN IP address. Then, change the Port, Protocol, and IP Address Range subnet if needed.
QUICK TIP: Your DNS server name can be up to 255 characters and must be a valid host name as defined in RFC 952 and RFC 1123, section 2.1:

|IP Address Range||
IP Addresses assigned to clients who connect using OpenVPN client. You can make changes if necessary. Must be a different subnet than what your router is using.
|Download OpenVPN Profile button||Clicking this button downloads the OpenVPN profile needed to send to users who will connect to your home network using OpenVPN feature. After you have completed configuring the OpenVPN feature of the router, click to download the profile with the current OpenVPN settings.

|Username and password||Create profiles for individual users to access your network through the OpenVPN client application.
