This article will guide you on how to connect the AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme or AirPort Time Capsule to your Velop network.
Unplug all the cables from your Mac® to disconnect it from the network.
Turn OFF your Mac’s Wi-Fi by clicking on the Wi-Fi icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.
IMPORTANT: Make sure that you are not connected to another router or modem.
Launch the Airport Utility. Select the appropriate device and click edit.
Click Wireless. Under Network Mode, select Off. This will disable any Wi-Fi created by your AirPort® device.
NOTE: This will mean that your Velop, as the primary router, will assign the IP address to the network.
After changing the settings, click Update. Your AirPort device will reboot to save the changes.
Using an ethernet cable, connect your Velop to the WAN port of your AirPort device.
Wait for your Velop to assign an IP address to your AirPort device.
Congratulations! You have now connected the AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme or AirPort Time Capsule device to your Velop network.
