How to access a Linksys E9450 child node

This article will show you how to access your Linksys E9450 WiFi 6 Router as the child node.

NOTE:  This article is for Linksys E9450-AH, E9450-CN, E9450-JP, and E9450-KR.

Before you begin, take note of the following:

  • Any changes that are needed such as WiFi settings should be made on the parent node.
  • For troubleshooting purposes, you can access the child node if you need to confirm the firmware version or update the firmware on the child node.

Step 1:
Connect your computer to the parent node.

Step 2:
Launch a web browser, enter "192.168.79.1" in the Address bar, and hit [ENTER].  The default entry for both the username and password fields is admin.

Step 3:
Go to General > Mesh Setup.  The IP address of the child node appears under the Connected child node information.

Step 4:
Under Connected child node information, click the IP that corresponds to the child node you want to access.
