Changing the Default Printer with a WPSM54G on Windows 7 or Vista

This article will discuss the steps on how to change the default printer with a WPSM54G on a computer with Windows 7 or Vista operating system.

NOTE:  To select a different printer as the default printer on the PC, the service for the PrintServer utility in the system tray must be stopped.  This is done by right-clicking the PrintServer utility icon on the system tray and then selecting Exit.

To select another printer and set it as the default printer, follow the steps below:

Step 1:
Click the Pearl  button and select Control Panel.

Step 2:
Double-click the Printers   icon.

Step 3:
Right-click a printer icon which is previously not set as the default printer and select Set as Default Printer from the drop-down list.


NOTE:  A check   icon will appear on the printer to indicate that it is selected as the default printer.

To reactivate the PrintServer Utility:

Step 1:
Click the Pearl  button and select All Programs.

Step 2:
Click on Linksys Wireless-G Print Server and select PrintServer Utility.
