How to enable the Linksys Skill in the Alexa app

The Linksys Skill for Alexa lets you ask for WiFi information from any Linksys Smart WiFi Router or Linksys Mesh system and also allows you to control the Guest network. This article will guide you on how to enable the Linksys Skill in the Alexa app.

For this feature to work, you must have the following:
  • A Linksys Smart WiFi Router or Linksys Mesh system with remote access enabled.
  • An active Linksys cloud account. To set up an account, click here.
  • Alexa app installed in your mobile device and working with your Amazon Echo, Amazon Tap or Amazon Echo Dot.
  • A working internet connection.
NOTE: If you have more than one Linksys Smart WiFi Router or Linksys Mesh system, Alexa will only control the router or node most recently associated with your account.
Step 1:
Launch the Amazon Alexa User-added image app.
Step 2:
Enter your credentials and log in to your Amazon account.
Step 3:
Tap on the Home User-added image icon located on the bottom left portion of the screen.

Tap Skills & Games.

Step 5:
Enter "Linksys" in the search bar.

Step 6:
Once the Linksys app appears, tap ENABLE TO USE.

Step 7:
You will be prompted to provide the Email Address and Password for your Linksys server account. Enter your credentials then tap Login.

Once successfully associated, tap on the X icon at the top-right corner of your screen to go back to the Linksys Skill.
