How do I log in to my Linksys mesh WiFi system?

Using the Linksys app

You can log in to your Linksys mesh WiFi system using the Linksys app by following the steps below.

NOTE: The device used here is an iPhone®, there may be slight differences if you are using an Android™ device.
Step 1:
Tap Manage your Wi-Fi.

NOTE: If you are using an Android device, tap on Log in.

Step 2:
Choose whether to log in with your email address or router password. Fill up the fields, and then tap Log in.

NOTE: Choosing to log in with your email address uses the internet and doesn’t require you to be connected to your Linksys mesh network locally. But you can also log in locally using your router password. This is for users who don’t want to use the internet or don’t have an internet connection. However, you have to connect to your Linksys mesh network locally to access it this way. Some options will be different depending on which login method you choose.

If you don’t have a Linksys cloud account, tap Create an account. Enter the required details and tap Create Account.

If you have more than one system associated with the account, choose the name of the system you want to see. If no router is associated with your account, you will be asked to add one or set up one.

Step 3:
Once logged in, you will be redirected to the dashboard. To see your menu options, tap the Menu icon on the top left-hand side of the dashboard.

Using LinksysSmartWiFi.com

You can log in to your Linksys mesh WiFi system using LinksysSmartWiFi.com by following the steps below.
Step 1:
Enter “LinksysSmartWiFi.com” or "192.168.1.1" (if you are connected to your Linksys router) in the Address bar of your browser and hit [ENTER].

Step 2:
Choose whether to log in with your email address or router password. Fill up the fields, and then tap Sign in.

NOTE: Choosing to log in with your email address uses the internet and doesn’t require you to be connected to your Linksys mesh network locally. But you can also log in locally using your router password. This is for users who don’t want to use the internet or don’t have an internet connection. However, you have to connect to your Linksys mesh network locally to access it this way. Some options will be different depending on which login method you choose.

NOTE: If you haven’t created an account, use the link under the Sign in button to do so.

Step 3:
Once logged in, you’ll land on the dashboard. Your menu options are listed down the left side.

QUICK TIP: You’ll be locked out if you enter the wrong password too many times. If you can’t remember your password, reset it by clicking the Forget your password? link.

Can I reset my Linksys Smart WiFi or router password if I forget them?

You’ll get locked out of your account if you enter the wrong password multiple times. If you forgot your password – for remote (email) or local (router password) – changing them is easy.

Reset password with the Linksys app

You can reset your Linksys Smart WiFi password using the Linksys app by following the steps below.

Step 1:
Tap Manage your Wi-Fi.

Step 2:
If you are logging in using your Email, tap the Forgot Password? link. An email will be sent to you with a reset link.

Enter your email address and tap Send Email.

An email will be sent to you with a reset link.

Reset password with LinksysSmartWiFi.com

You can reset your Linksys Smart WiFi password using LinksysSmartWiFi.com by following the steps below.
Step 1:
Enter “LinksysSmartWiFi.com” or "192.168.1.1" (if you are connected to your Linksys router) in the Address bar of your browser and hit [ENTER].

Step 2:
Click the Forgot your password? link under the log-in fields.

Step 3:
Enter an email address on the field and an email will be sent with instructions about how to reset your password. Click the Send instructions button.

Resetting the router password for logging in without an internet connection

You can reset your router password for logging in without an internet connection using the Linksys app by following the steps below.

NOTE: The device used here is an iPhone, there may be slight differences if you are using an Android device.


Reset router password with Linksys app

Step 1:
Tap Manage your Wi-Fi.

NOTE: If you are using an Android device, tap on Log in.

Step 2:
If you are logging in using your Router Password, tap the Forgot Password? link.

Step 3:
You will then be asked to enter the recovery key, which can be found on the bottom of your Linksys mesh router.

Step 4:
Once you enter the recovery key, an email will be sent to the account holder to notify them about the password change. Tap Continue.

Step 5:
Enter a new password. You can also opt to add a password hint.

Reset router password with LinksysSmartWifi.com

Step 1:
Enter “LinksysSmartWiFi.com” or "192.168.1.1" (if you are connected to your Linksys router) in the Address bar of your browser and hit [ENTER].

Step 2:
Click the link for local access.

Click Reset password.

Step 4:
Enter the Recovery Key then click Submit. This can be found on the bottom of your Linksys mesh router.

Enter a new router password and hint then click Reset.

I can’t log in to my Linksys cloud account

If you are confident you’re entering the correct login information, but are unable to log in, your internet service provider could be blocking your access. Try logging in to LinksysSmartWiFi.com using a different browser. If the issue persists, call your internet service provider and confirm if the site is not being blocked. If your service provider is unable to help, contact Linksys Support.
