How to enable HTTPS on different Linksys devices

This article will discuss how to enable Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) for different Linksys devices. 

Before you begin, ensure the following:
  • Your Linksys device is properly set up
  • You are logged in to the user interface of your Linksys device

NOTE:  The steps and images may vary depending on the model and firmware version of your Linksys device. 

Click on the user interface of your Linksys device for step-by-step instructions:

Step 1:
Click the Administration tab and go to the Management sub-tab.

Step 2:
Under Local Management Access > Access via, check the box beside HTTPS.

Step 3:
Once you're done, click User-added image.

Step 1:
Under Router Settings, go to Connectivity.

Click the Administration tab.

Step 3:
Under Local Management Access, check the box beside HTTPS.

Step 4:
Once you're done, click User-added image

Step 1:
Go to the User-added image tab.

Step 2:
On the left panel, click Firewall > General.

Step 3:
Tick the radio button next to Enable for HTTPS.

NOTE:  You will be prompted to change your router's password if it's currently set to default.  Click OK to proceed with the password change then go back to Step 2.

Step 4:
Once you're done, click User-added image.
