Overview of the Velop dashboard for Android mobile devices

The Linksys app dashboard for your Velop offers a snapshot of the Velop system. Here, you can see the connection status of the node, the number of devices in the network, and other settings that you can configure for your Wi-Fi. To learn about this feature using an iOS mobile device, click here.

Below is a brief overview of the dashboard.

 
FeatureDescription
Internet connection statusThe dashboard will display the status of the internet connection whether it is online or offline.

DevicesIt will also display the total number of clients that are currently connected.

Tap on Devices to view your online and offline devices. You can tap on a device to view or edit a specific information.

Wi-FiThe Wi-Fi section will display the Wi-Fi name for your network.

You can tap on the Wi-Fi name to go to the Wi-Fi Settings section to make necessary Wi-Fi changes.

You can also tap on the Share User-added image icon to share your Wi-Fi information via text, email or to save a copy on your phone.

Guest AccessThe Guest Access section allows you to share internet connection to your guests. They will be able to go online but will not be able to see or access other connected devices and files. You can also create a guest Wi-Fi name and password and share them to your guests.

Parental ControlsThe Parental Controls section allows you to manage your kid's internet use. When enabled, the configured devices will appear in this section.

Device
Prioritization
The Device Prioritization section allows you to choose up to three devices with priority usage of your internet connection. Those devices – wired and/or wireless – will always have the best access when connected.

External StorageThe External Storage feature is available in some Velop models only. You may check on your node's user guide to check if this feature is supported on your device.

You can tap on External Storage to see the node that a storage device is connected to, the hard drive's name, and other information. You can also tap on Authentication to create a username and password for the storage device.
