Overview of the Linksys Velop dashboard for Android mobile devices

The dashboard is your Velop's homepage. Here, you can see if the Velop is online and how many devices are connected to your Velop network.

Below is a brief overview of the dashboard.

 
FeatureDescription
Internet connection statusThe dashboard will display status of the internet connection whether it is online or offline.

DevicesThe dashboard also will display the total number of current clients that are connected to the Velop network.

When you tap on Devices, it will show you information on the devices connected to your network. It will also display your offline devices. You can tap on a device to view or edit a specific information.

Wi-FiThe Wi-Fi section will display one Wi-Fi name for the entire Velop network.

You can tap the name to go to the Wi-Fi Settings section to make necessary Wi-Fi changes.

You can also tap on the Share User-added image icon to share your Wi-Fi information via text, email or to save a copy on your phone.

Guest AccessThe Guest Access section allows you to share internet connection to your guests. With it, they can go online but can’t see or access other connected devices and files on the Velop network. You can turn Guest Access ON or OFF and give it a name and password. You can also share the Guest network credentials to your clients.

Parental ControlsThe Parental Controls section allows you to manage your kid's internet use. When enabled, the toggle switch will be on the ON position and the configured devices will appear in this section. Toggle the switch to the OFF position to disable the feature.

Device
Prioritization
The Device Prioritization section allows you to choose up to three devices with priority usage of your internet connection. Those devices – wired and/or wireless – will always have the best access when connected.

External StorageThe External Storage section is available in some Velop models. You can tap on External Storage to see the node or router that a storage device is connected to, the hard drive name, the IP address of the drive, and other information.

The External Storage feature is available in some Velop models.
This section displays the router’s name, the drive’s name, space used, and total capacity of the drive. It will also display the IP address to use to access your hard drive, this is the router’s IP address.
