Accessing the Linksys Wireless-AC and Wireless-AX Range Extender's web-based setup page

The Linksys Wireless-AC and Wireless-AX Range Extenders can easily extend your WiFi to hard-to-reach locations in your home.  Follow the instructions below to access your range extender’s web-based setup page.

Step 1:
Open a web browser.

Step 2:
There are three methods in accessing the range extender’s web-based setup page:

  • Enter "https://extender.linksys.com" in your browser.  Make sure that you are connected to your range extender.

  • Enter "https://model-xxx" in your browser for Windows® and Android™ or "https://model-xxx.local" for macOS® or iOS.

    where:

model – is your range extender’s model number
xxx – last three characters of the range extender’s MAC address

NOTE:  If you changed your range extender’s name, you will need to use the custom name (eg. "https://MyAP.local").

  • Enter the range extender’s IP address.

If the range extender does not detect a DHCP server, the default IP address is 192.168.1.1.  Otherwise, you will need to look up your range extender’s IP address in the DHCP Client Table.  To know how to do this using a Linksys WiFi router, click
here.  If you are using a Linksys Smart WiFi router, click here

NOTE:  Some options may not be available if your range extender is in Access Point mode due to the design and functionality of an access point.

Step 3:
You will be prompted for a Password.  If you have changed your password, enter your customized password.  Otherwise, enter the default password "admin" in the appropriate field then click Login
