Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0 - Networks page

The Networks page of the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0 is the landing page of your account.  Here, you can select a network to enter and configure its settings.  The Linksys Cloud Manager can have unlimited access points and networks.

Overview of the Networks page

 
SettingDescription
Search icon User-added imageClicking on the search icon on the top right-hand corner helps you find your Network name.  This is helpful when you have multiple Networks in an Organization.
NetworksUser-added imageClick on Networks on the upper right corner to go back to the Networks list.
Captive PortalUser-added imageClicking on Captive Portal takes you to the captive portal settings.  For more information, click here.

The letter located on the upper right corner is the initial of the organization's name.  Click on it to see more options.

  • Switch Organizations - Click to switch to another organization
  • Account Settings - Click to access your account settings
  • Inventory - Click to access the inventory within this organization
  • Firmware Update - Click to check if any access points need a firmware update within your Organization

  • Logout - Click to log out
Map/List viewClick on the Map User-added image or List User-added image icon on the lower right-hand side to change the Network list view.

  • Displays a list of your networks 
  • Displays total of access points in that network, Connected Clients and Current Traffic
  • Click on Status ↑ to sort the list by preference
  • To enter a Network, click on the Network name 
  • To add a new network, click on New Network (List view) or + (Map view)
Ellipsis User-added image menu (List view only)If your Network list is on List view, click the ellipsis menu to view more settings for a Network.  For more information, click here.

How to identify which network you are in
 
Once you have selected a network, its name will appear on the top of the page beside the Linksys logo.  
To prevent making changes to the wrong network, make sure to select the correct name from the network list.

How to switch to another network
 
The name of the current network you are in should appear at the
top of the page beside the Linksys logo.  To switch from one network to another, click the network name and select a different network to access.

How to delete a network
 

To delete a network, follow the steps below:
 
NOTE:  Any access point in the network that you are about to delete will be moved to Inventory.
 
Step 1:
Access the Linksys Cloud Manager 2.0.  For instructions, click
here.

Step 2:
Click on the ellipsis menu for the network you want to delete.

Select Delete from the list.

Click on Delete to confirm.

How to locate the Inventory and move an access point to a network
 
The Inventory is found under the initial of the account.  In the example below, the account icon is L.  Click on it then select Inventory from the drop-down menu.

To move an access point from the Inventory to a network, click on the check box of the access point that you want to transfer.  Select Actions, then select Add to network.

Status

To sort the list by preference, click on Status.  You can sort the list according to StatusName, Creation date, Number of Devices, Clients, and Traffic.  For each category, you can arrange it by selecting either Ascendent ↑ or Descendent ↓.

NOTE:  Access a network by clicking on its name.  

Ellipsis menu 
 
Each network has an individual ellipsis menu.  Clicking this displays specific sections and settings for each network, along with the option to delete it.

NOTE:  The ellipsis menu only appears when on List view and does not appear when on Map view.

Description:
 
  • Overview – Provides general information on a network, its access points and client devices.  To know more, click here.
  • Devices – Displays a list of all access points in the network.  Always make sure you are in the correct network prior to managing an access point to prevent configuring access points in other locations.  To know more, click here.
  • Wi-Fi SSIDs – This page lets you create and edit wireless profiles.  A network can have unlimited SSIDs.  To know more, click here.
  • Clients – Shows information about the clients logged in the network.  To know more, click here.
  • Settings – This page is where you can configure settings for the network you are currently in.  To configure settings for another network, simply switch networks.  To learn more, click here.
  • Delete – This will delete a network permanently.  Any access point associated to this network can also be moved to Inventory.  To learn more, click here.
 
Map

The Map view displays the location of your access point/s.  Locate the User-added image icon on the lower right-hand side of the Networks page.

To locate an access point, click the locator User-added image icon next to the network name on the left pane.  An icon will be displayed on the map representing your access point’s location.

NOTE:  If you have not yet set the location of an access point, you have to go to the Details tab of the access point to do so.  To go to the access point's Details tab, follow these steps:

 
Step 1:
Click a network name.

Step 2:
Select the Devices tab.

Step 3:
Select an access point.

Step 4:
Click the Details tab.  You'll find the option to edit your Location by scrolling down to the bottom of the screen.

Step 5:
Click Edit and enter an address, city or zip code then click Save.
