Checking the firmware version of your Velop system

The Velop Intelligent Mesh WiFi System gives you 100% seamless Wi-Fi experience.  Velop makes it easy to give guests access while keeping unwanted guests from connecting to your network.

Updating your Velop system’s firmware keeps your Wi-Fi features current and fixes many performance issues.  Knowing the firmware version of your node can help you identify if it needs a firmware update.  This article will help you check the firmware version of your node.


IMPORTANT:  Before you proceed, make sure to have the latest version of the Linksys app installed in your device.  To download it from Google Play, click here.  To get it from the App Store®, click here instead.

Step 1: 
Launch the Linksys app and log in to the Velop dashboard.  For complete instructions, click 
here.

 
Step 2:          
Tap the Menu User-added image icon on the dashboard.

Step 3:
Tap Network Administration and select the name of the node.

NOTE:  You can also see the Automatic Firmware Update option on this page, to turn ON or OFF automatic firmware upgrades, toggle the switch.

Step 4: 
On your node's page, check the Firmware Version section.

Step 1: 
Open a web browser to access the Velop’s web interface.  For instructions, click 
here.

Step 2: 
Click Connectivity under Router Settings.

Step 3: 
On the Basic tab, the Current Version of your Velop firmware will display under the Firmware Update section.

NOTE:  Check the Automatic checkbox to automatically update the firmware of your Velop system when there is a new firmware available or uncheck it to prevent it from automatically installing firmware updates.  The default setting is ON.
