I love the point I am provided the option of powering this switch via POE or via a wall adapter. This is a very strong AP and I have strong connectivity through out the entire home from the basement to my 3rd floor. I would definitely recommend this to anyone for a simple yet robust AP with tons of features.

Comes with instructions that are easy to follow. Impressed with the range of the wifi. Covers much larger area than the typical wireless router. Have not tested clustering but love the feature in case of you decide to extend the range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the remote access features of these AP's! I installed this access point to test out the remote access and realtime display features of the network statistics. At first, the setup was confusing, as the website that hosted the remote access was down, but when I tried to setup the 2nd time, the website was up and running and the installation went flawlessly. I was informed by Linksys after trying to setup the first time that the website had been down over the weekend due to maintenance, so it took a little while before i was back onsite and able to try the installation again, but like I said, once i set it up that next time i was onsite, it went smoothly and i was and still am able to access the AP remotely and see all types of network statistical information in real time! I have never been so impressed by the ease of use of a product in my life. From initial setup to remotely accessing the device at a later time, the whole entire process was amazingly simplified. Would recommend this product to anyone that wants to have remote access and instant network information at their fingertips from anywhere in the world.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New Linksys Cloud Access Point First, I want to thank Linksys for allowing me to test pilot this new product. Once I heard about it, I was excited and looking forward to getting my hands on one. At first I had some issues with adding the access point to the cloud manager due to an oversight. After that was resolved, I was able to add the access point. A few words on that; you will need to create a hostname to access the cloud manager (i.e hostname.linksys.com). Once created you will receive an email from linksys stating your hostname has been created. Login to the cloud manager (business.linksys.com) create a site name according to where the access point will be added, add access point to cloud manager via mac address and serial number, create an SSID with password and voila its setup. Quick and easy. Connect your clients and you will see them pop up on the cloud manager. It would be nice if the cloud manager would be able to tell you the name of the devices, it shows mac addresses, you have to manually add the names of your connected devices. On the clients tab of the cloud manager, you will see all connected clients. Would also be nice if it told you if the clients connected to 2.4GHz or 5GHz. On the SSID tab, you configure your wireless networks, hide the network, enable or disable splash page, vlan tagging, bandwidth limit devices and some advanced settings. All in all this is a nice setup. The backend setup is more robust with more configuration settings. My test product only allowed for either the client manager or the original backend setup. Not both. Definitely a work in progress. Looking forward to updates.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Linksys LAPAC1200C Review The Linksys LAPAC1200C was easy setting up via wired Ethernet connection, if you do not need a password on the AP just plug it in wait a few minutes and connect to it with your wireless devices, but if like most businesses if you want/require a password on the AP you will need to either create a Linksys Cloud server account or setup via web browser. If the AP is connected to a router that is handing out DHCP you will need to use an app like Wi-Fi Analyzer on your smartphone or something similar to Advanced IP Scanner to see what the IP changed to, if not then you will use the default IP given in the quick start guide. After setting up the AP and testing it out I noticed that the range was not as good as I expected went about 60 FT although it was through a concrete block/steel frame wall. The AP does require that it is connected with Ethernet cable, unlike other AP’s that allow you to setup wirelessly and just stay plugged into AC Power. You do have the ability to setup 8 SSID’s per band (2.4 / 5 GHz), but even with isolation turned on I can still access information on the main network, it does separate users on different SSID, (i.e. SSID 1 user will not see SSID 2 user), but they can still both access the main wired network items, PC’s or NAS systems. I did notice that the speeds when testing with 1 device were about 96 Mbps but when connected 2 devices and ran the speed tests (speedtest.net) again and the speeds dropped down to 70 Mbps and then again 56.4 Mbps, but when the devices were tested by themselves the speeds were back up in the high 90’s. On a good note since the wired connection to the device is required you can use a POE switch to power this to any location in your business with just 1 cable also providing the maximum connection speed, I would make sure that you are using a gigabit connection on router/switch to get the most speed out of the AP.
