Rated 4 out of 5 by from SMALLER BUT NOT BETTER MR9600 is a nice design. However, I don't like what they did under the hood. Linksys removed the ability to select the channel range and tech (AX, AC, or N). The Linksys EA9500 Max-Stream™ AC5400 MU-MIMO Gigabit WiFi Router offers better range and control. It's a lot bigger for sure. I'm going to keep this router with the hope there will be updates to improve the overall range signal and the ability to select the tech and channel. This is teh main reason people like me buy the touter vs the MESH solution. We want advance controls to link devices to the latest tech. We're not looking for only a MIXED option. We are tech savvy & want control of our router!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just say no and run away fast! Two hours just waiting for tech support. I have the router hard wired to my PC just for service and it's s-l-o-w in wired mode. Can't help but wonder what it will be like wireless. I upgraded from last Lynksys product to get WPA3 for better security. Really? How secure is a product that forces you to use an App? I only have dumb phones and de-googled phones for a reason. Hopefully tech support will call me back today so I can see if this will actually work without a stinking app. Major step in the wrong direction so far. My last two Linksys routers were so easy to set up. This is pretty much garbage Arrrggghhh!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking, priced right, features you need... Packaging is well done and ships well (if buying it online) -- The router itself looks terrific, the mobile setup is about the best I've seen -- Connecting directly with browser (IP address) is easy and opens up to a lot of features one needs. WiFi 6 is coverage is excellent -- the router sitting on table in garage provides services through a fire door and up stories with ease and no drop outs -- I have it connected to gigabit internet to which it handles with ease. Gaming, its great -- easy to setup DMZ and port forward -- For Work, it handles connections very stable and its reliable -- We have a blend of devices that are new and WiFi6 with much older devices too. Connected Home -- garage door, nest, and all other devices connected really easy and with a good signal over the other brand X it replaced. It's a great looking Router, priced right, and has all features needed for work and play -- plus its linksys, a strong name in Routers, WiFi, and Networking...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worse Router I had WRT-3200ACM, with the 3200ACM, my desktop used to have up to 768 Mbps, sometime it dropped down to 144 Mbps - but most of the time, it got above 354 Mbps. I upgraded my network to this MR9600 and thought that I would be getting better speed. But I am getting opposite direction. The set up is simple and easy, also getting better range in comparison to 3200ACM - However, you would not be able to widen the bandwidth to 80 or 160 as you would with 3200ACM, and the worse is speed - my speed is dropping all the way down to 144 Mbps and greatest speed that I could get with this MR9600 is 174 Mbps. It is worse router. It is even worser the EA4500 router that I used to long ago. I made a big mistake to bought this router. Stay a way, don't throw your 400.00 dollars to the trash bin as I did to mine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from kind of iffy been using this a little over a week and for the first few days it worked great then all of a sudden out of no where my laptop and tablets couldn't connect to the internet with this router so after going through everything I ended up calling support, after telling them everything I tried they just had me do a reset which worked..for a little while.the next day same thing so called support this time and they remotely fixed it and made some changes in the settings and firmware now working great so far.seems pretty fast and now stable, I'll keep updated as time goes on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely basic The manufacturer expects you to use a smartphone app for the device setup. To access a web configuration page, you have to click a hidden button, which is not mentioned anywhere - they only tell you about this after you call the product support. Product manual isn't helpful either. WiFi can only work in AP mode, so no client modes. With the web interface you can't even set the TX power or select WiFi channels/mode/bandwidth. Bridging setup is pretty basic, either the whole device is a bridge to WAN or it isn't. USB supports only storage devices, forget about connecting your USB modem to it. The features you can access are available in the devices of 1/5th the price, with much lower power consumption and without the hassle of contacting the Linksys support.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returned after 1 month, always rebooting. I bought this router to replace an Apple Airport Extreme. Spent a few hours/multiple calls to Linksys Support. They had me unplug/reboot/hard restart/etc, change a few settings. Still continued to give me issues. Finally decided to return the router and go back to the Airport Extreme, which never gave me any issues in the countless years I've had it. Why cant things just work? I shouldn't have to call Support and change multiple settings on a brand new router. It should just plug and play. My home network/topology isn't complicated. I don't game, I don't work from home, I don't otherwise have a lot of network idiosyncrasies. I may try another brand, but this has put me off Linksys for at least another few years.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible router - do not buy. Incredibly unstable I have nothing but problems with this router. Purchased it to replace an older Linksys and am thinking it was a mistake. It constantly seems to lose connectivity with modem. Often times the administration GUI is an accessible requiring a hard reboot to get the router up and running again. In our current environment with WFH constant up time is critical and this router fails to perform. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
