Rated 5 out of 5 by from LinkSys AE3000 USB WiFi Adapter, Highly recommended Linksys Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Adapter (AE3000) (Personal Computers) i am quite impressed with this device...used it to upgrade my old laptops to N band WireLess...(their built in wireless adapter was G-only)...compared before and after...this N adapter is easily 3x-2x faster, then the origanal built in G WireLess...this device will easily reach full potential bandwidth of my ComCast cable...range and sensitivity are excellent...the software install for the drivers worked well...no complaints...highly recommended..."good-luck"...and remember, "remain calm, be brave...and wait for a sign"...jo'c

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good With One Irritating Flaw The AE3000 has good range and throughput and is very easy to set up. However, it has one irritating flaw. To manage wireless connections in Windows 7 it uses that OS's native configuration utility. That utility, at least with the AE3000, does not allow the user to choose which channel to connect to if multiple channels are used with the same SSID. Thus if a 2.4 GHZ channel is slightly stronger than a less crowded and faster 5 GHZ channel the AE3000 will utilize the 2.4GHZ channel with no apparent way to change it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid like the plague!!! Good product BUT this product is not compatible with Windows 10 and from what I can gather it does not appear Linksys have any intention whatsoever to update the drivers so unless you want endless hours of connection issues I would buy a different product altogether!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great but not compatible with windows 10 Someone would expect more commitment from linksys with their products and drivers. It's a good product but just not compatible and troubly under windows 10, thus useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME PERFORMANCE + EASY INSTALLATION I have a 50Mbps upstream connection to my EA4500 router. I replaced a couple of 2.4 GHz wireless G adapters (one LINKSYS & one NETGEAR) that were each providing ~ 16Mbps bandwidth. I connected the AE3000 adapters to the routers 5 GHz band and I'm now getting a consistent 50Mbps wireless Internet connection; AWESOME! I've installed many network devices over the past 25 years. The AE3000 installation was flawless, simple, & quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT UPGRADE I received my AE3000 adapter and installed it in minutes. My laptop is upstairs, 2 rooms away from router and still received all 5 bars and 450mbps. I upgraded from a AE1000 and the difference in speed is quite noticeable. Makes my older laptop quite fast when hooked up to my 450mbps router. Could not be happier with the product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade - easy setup and good performance gain Just upgraded my linksys ae2500 usb adapter to this new Linksys AE3000 usb adapter to increase performance for internal file sharing and video streaming. Setup was easy, took 1 minute....and performance increased. Used with my EA4500 wi-fi router on the 5 GHz radio band. Overall, good easy upgrade with performance benefits.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It could be great I bought this because my laptop adapter died. This adapter has real potential because of its 450N speed & the mount & cable can be moved, but it does not perform very well....signal connectability to the router is very low. This is verified with several tests against the stats from the built in adapter before it failed, & I am using a Linksys EA6900 router. Maybe it will be better in the next version or it might be abandoned.

*Maximum performance derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specification. Actual performance can vary, including lower wireless network capacity, data throughput rate, range and coverage. Performance depends on many factors, conditions and variables, including distance from the access point, volume of network traffic, building materials and construction, operating system used, mix of wireless products used, interference and other adverse conditions.
