High Speed Broadband for Uninterrupted Streaming and Gaming*

The Comcast-certified DPC3008 delivers high-bandwidth transfer speeds via your existing cable Internet system. A Gigabit Ethernet port provides wired connection speeds up to 10 times faster than Fast Ethernet (which just delivers a maximum data transmission rate of 100 megabits per second). Simply connect your PC directly to the modem or connect it to a Wi-Fi router to take your network to the next level.

DOCSIS Support and IPv6 Technology**

With support for DOCSIS 3.0, 2.0, and 1.1, the DPC3008 allows for high-bandwidth transfer rates over your existing cable system to ensure you get top speeds from your cable broadband connection. The addition of IPv6 features provide you with the latest Internet Protocol technologies to keep your connection up-to-date.

Affordable, Comcast-Certified Modem

Certified by Comcast and compatible with most major cable broadband providers, the DPC3008 Cable Modem gives you freedom from monthly modem rental fees.

Linksys DPC3008

Easy Setup

  1. Plug the DPC3008 into a power source.
  2. Connect the modem to your existing cable outlet and your computer or laptop.
  3. Contact your cable broadband provider to activate. The status indicator LEDs on the front of the DPC3008 keep you aware of your connection's health, making troubleshooting easy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is a good modem, but just a modem This is for use only with Comcast. We are outside Chicago and picked up this modem for use with 25mb service. Setup is easy, just a call to Comcast with the serial number and MAC, they did the rest. While you can open the built in web page from the modem, the modem is locked down by Comcast's firmware. The user name and password are just left blank when logging in. Logging in will list out basic channel info, that is it. A router must be used to connect more than one device to the modem. The LAN port does support gigabit and fast ethernet. One star was deducted for the absolute lack of documentation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Linksys DPC3008 works fine since I bought it in May 2013 I just don't want to pay $7.00 a month for the rental of the modem so I bought the refurbished DPC3008 Cable Modem. I plugged it in after I got it, following the direction from the accompanying CD, called tech support of the internet provider, give them the MAC address, asked them to activate my new modem and it worked fine since, just like the one I rented from the cable company. There is just one minor problem, that is my ROKU connects itself sometime to the Guest account so I just have to reconnect it to the Main account. I highly recommend this modem to all other internet users.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Modem I bought this to replace the same model I bought last year (refurbished) on Amazon that died due to an environmental accident (I believe it received a surge on the coax line). I had no issues with the modem and it perform great including when I switched speed tiers (6mbps to 50mbps) with comcast until the accident. The entire time I have been buying networking equipment Linksys has by far been the best and I'll continue buying their products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent performance! I was having trouble... My Internet connection was slow...I was losing the Internet conection often. I was paying for a top-notch speed from my Internet provider... I knew I needed a new modem able to provide me with reliable Internet connection with zero interruptions. I decided to get a LINKSYS modem (did a serious research) to complement my state of the art LINKSYS Router. It was easy - unpack, plug in, call cable company for activation and ready!!! I connected modem to router, they liked each other right away!!! Pure love! Since then... No more problems, stronger signal, fast as a Ferrari! Now I am happy, satisfied and my more than 10 devides are running without having any delays, movie streaming is a breeze.... Thanks to Linksys! Great to have a company that provides quality and that always is finding new technologies to please their customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm! I bought the Linksys Advanced DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem, certified for Comcast, in late June (2015), called the cable company, had it linked and loaded, and haven't had a problem since. Considering the cost of renting the cable modem from the provider, the Linksys will pay for itself in less than a year. I do recommend (if you have Comcast).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very easy to install When my ISP (Comcast) notified me that my old router was slowing down my download speed, I researched the available units and chose the Linksys unit . It was very easy to set up and I immediately noticed a stronger wireless signal around the house and faster downloads. I gave it four stars because it does what it is advertised to do. It was not more than that.

*Maximum performance derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specification. Actual performance can vary, including lower wireless network capacity, data throughput rate, range and coverage. Performance depends on many factors, conditions and variables, including distance from the access point, volume of network traffic, building materials and construction, operating system used, mix of wireless products used, interference and other adverse conditions.
