Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good router - range just OK I upgraded from a Linksys wireless G router from 5 years ago given we have a home with 3 floors and limited reception in some areas. Good things about this device: affordable, especially if you buy refurbished. Dual band is nice - but you must know how to configure it right. Go for wireless N only, WPA2 on the 5GHz range and Mixed on wireless G for the 2.4GHz range. Name the 2 networks differently so you know how to recognize them. Range is SLIGHTLY better than previous wireless G, perhaps identical. Wireless N is supposed to be and advertised as much higher range, I would have liked to see this on an "advanced" dual band with 4 antennas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Linksys E2500 advanced dual-band N Router is perfect! Strong connection, streaming videos and high speeds. Great buy! After purchasing my new dual-band N router and matching usb stick, due to having experience with older linksys wireless products, I was hesitant about ease of setup. It amazed me at how fast and well the standard setup does the job. Had my internet re-connected in about 5 mins, from start-finish. After some speed tests i realized it was not at my connection speed of 32 mbps, only reaching about 14mbps. Called linksys support, was on the phone all of 6 minutes including wait time and had my connection speed at 31mbps with one little change. overall I would rate this product a 5/5. Awsome buy. Great price and could not ask for more! A+

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly easy to install and set up. We had very little experience, okay no experience, with installing, let alone running a WiFi network. Our daughter bought her mother a tablet that required a WiFi connection, so like it or not we entered a new world. After pouring over what seemed like hundreds of reviews for routers, we chose the Linksys E2500 because of all the positive feedback. Whatever worries we had about setting up a WiFi network were quickly set aside. The E2500 was easy to set up and has been trouble free. It was so easy, it made us wonder why we put off installing a Wifi network so long. We think we made a great choice and recommend the Linksys E2500 without hestitation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor signal strength I had a Linksys wireless-G 2.4 GHz model WRT54G Want to upgrade for more speed to an wireless- N 5 GHz model I did notice some faster speeds ,but signal strength dropped ??? installed it in the same place as the last one, I live in a 3 bedroom home 1500 sqft. always 5 bars anywhere in the house with old one. this new one has a hard time making 4 bars one room away ? 2 rooms barley 3 bars... old unit had 2 external antennas, this one has none ? New one Super easy setup was very nice. But I think I lost the extra speed I was looking for with the loss of signal strength. Cant take it back because it was on Clearance and old model...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality and value. About 10 years ago I enclosed my back patio to create a home office. My home is brick construction. I had my ISP install their cable and my modem in my office. My main work station is a Macintosh computer. My wife and kids have a whole host of PC desktops, laptops, game consoles and other wireless devices. I went through 3 other manufacturer's routers that wouldn't work consistently before I bought this one. It was easy to set up and has worked wonderfully since I got it. My oldest son's room is in the furtherest location from the router and he has no problem connecting through all the brick and other walls of my home. I highly recommend the Linksys E2500 from Cisco.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Router for Me I purchased a wireless router because I just purchased a Kindle Fire HD which uses wireless technology. The salesperson listened to what my needs were and said the N600 would be my best choice, because of download speed, etc. Hooking it up was a snap, just following the instructions on the DVD that came with the router. I think it took at most ten minutes before I was able to download all my music from the Web to my kindle, It went very quickly and the music transferred perfectly. I don't know if I'll be getting any more wireless devices, but I feel confident that this router will be able to handle and the directions will be there to help me through it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All around excellent product This is a perfect router for me. Had purchased a cheaper brand first and that was a big mistake. Had issues staying on line and was constantly resetting the other brand. After 6 months decided to purchase the Linksys E2500 Advanced Dual-Band N Router. Its been almost 6 months now and I have never lost service due to this router. I sure wish I would have purchased this the first time! For a mid price router, this has been and excellent choice for me. Its basically plug and go, no long set up process. No needed calls to tech support for help. Its slim case and no antenae to get in the way makes it easy to tuck away. I would highly recommend this brand and style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy setup, good range, comfortable about security level Not being too adept with the various security options and how to apply them, I was drawn to this wireless router because of reports on the ease of setup. True, including with multiple computersI I was particularly interested in how it seemed to be rated regarding security, and how comfortable I was after the setup process. Were I a wireless or IT guru, I'm sure my system with this router could be even more secure, but I am, for the first time in a long time, feeling reasonably secure. Finally, I was changing from a 5 year old g system and concerned about better range, too, and the Linksys E2500 fully met those expectations. I would highly recommend it.
