Rated 5 out of 5 by from We Could Not Be More Happy With This Router Though we have not had the Linksys WiFi Router Dual-Band AC1200 installed for a very long period of time, we are extremely pleased with the operation of this router so far. It was very easy to install and set-up. We have a 2500 square-foot 2-story house and approximately a 1/4 acre yard, and we comfortably get wifi coverage wherever we need it. We have 13 separate devices throughout our home that are connected to the router and the signal is strong and constant. We have experienced no issues thus far that would discourage us from recommending this product to our friends and family.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality device The AC1200 is a basic wifi router that has all the features that a home user would need. It's simple to configure, has parental controls, etc. The wifi signal was strong and stable during my testing. My only suggestion is that they should have some indicator lights to show if the device is getting an internet signal, if wifi is enabled, etc. The only lights on it are for the lan and internet ports, and they're hard to see when you have several network cables plugged into it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking for This is a great router for the price. Let me start with setup. I did not have the easiest time with setup but that's because I already have the Linksys EA7500 so every time I tried to access the setup on my pc it would bring me to the EA7500 page even though it wasn't plugged in. I will say when I switched to my phone setup was really easy, a few steps and I was online. I got the speed I should get and the range was decent (obviously not as good as the EA7500). Now with that said I switched it to wireless bridge mode to connect my older smart tv to wifi. This was not an easy task because every time I tried on the 5 GHz channel, to get faster speeds, it would reset itself out of bridge mode. After trying several things I settled on the 2.4 GHz channel and it worked but only to 50 mbps which should be fine for streaming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Linksys AC1200 Router This router was easy to use and set up. I have always preferred Linksys products in my home and business due to the easy set up and reliability. This one seems to have great range and we had no issues connecting numerous devices to it with a household full of kids. It has a small foot print as well and has four ethernet ports. This is nice as many manufacturers have been cutting this down to two or so lately.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact, good performance, simple setup I run a wireless ISP (WISP), and we deal with a wide variety of equipment including customer-owned routers from various manufacturers. While I am not happy that this router seems to work, but does not actually until you log in and accept the terms, the setup was simpler than other Linksys routers, and I was not pushed to create an online account, set security questions, or any of that before using the router. In my testing the performance was pretty good, it maxed out the 100M WAN port when testing on 5GHz (95/95 download/upload), and got around 50M down and 75 up on the 2.4GHz wifi. One thing I am particularly happy with is that IPv6 worked great right out of the box. This is increasingly important in a world that is out of IPv4 addresses.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wish it had Gigabit ports Setting up the router was as easy as could be. The instructions were clear and simple, and the router worked perfectly out the box. On the negative side, with most homes having fast than 100 mbit Internet connections, this router puts a significant crimp in performance. Additionally, this device cannot be used a either a WAP or a wireless repeater, making it only usable as a router.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good basic AC1200 Router The router is good for entry level/basic needs. The setup of the router was painless and easy to configure. You can use the Smart setup feature, or you can set it up manually. Manual setup is not documented well but if you Google it, you'll find references online on how to do a manual setup. This is a good device for a user who has a few devices such as a phone and a smart TV to connect. If you want to game, stream music, and have several connected TVs all in use simultaneously, you should probably look at a faster device.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Router This is the right router for the average home (meaning average suburban middle-class home around 2500-3000 sq ft). I have his is on the main floor corner office. I have a basement and 2nd floor, and I get coverage throughout the entire house, though the 5gz (as expected) is only 3 bars in the far opposite corner of the basement. For 2.4 gz I get full 5 bars most places, and 4 in the upper or lower floor far corners. It is easy to set up, I got it going with minimal effort. I'd read other reviews that there were lots of extra management items in the setup, but I'd say this has typical set of setup & advanced options as compared with Netgear and other peers. True geeks can flash DD-WRT or something like that if they want and probably will anyway, so this has enough.
