Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will not connect--DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY We have had the same type of issue multiple times with this router: either it won't connect to the internet, or nothing can connect to it. Typically, it resolves itself for no apparent reason in a day or so. Inconsistency means we cannot ever fix this issue without waiting. It has been several days now, and we can connect NOTHING to it, wirelessly or directly through ethernet. The only way to troubleshoot is THROUGH THE INTERNET AND BY CONNECTING TO THE ROUTER. What sense does that make? The "reset" button does nothing. Waste of so much money. My advice: read the online help forums before purchasing. This is a consistent issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Support My old (more than 5years) Linksys gave up the ghost this weekend, and I originally bought a different manufacturer router which we couldn't get working even with the seller's expert at this item helping us. So we took the other router back, and I bought this Linksys. We had trouble with the auto-setup, but this time, I got Linksys on CHAT on Sunday afternoon, and they painlessly walked me through the setup. For routers, you really want to have good support because I believe cable providers don't necessarily set up their signals to enable easy auto-setup. Linksys provided excellent support!! Once we got it running, we were able to quickly watch live streaming on our new wireless HDTV w/o any difficulties. Thank you Linksys!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Short LIfe Purchased this router from Costco and loved it for about a year. PROS: 1. Much faster initially than the Netgear router I replaced 2. Easy setup 3. USB 3.0 allowed for simple network storage CONS: 1. Router randomly would throttle my internet down from 50mbps to 5. Leading to a need for a reset to factory and redo setup (more that 10 times now). 2. Range was lacking and lead to me having to redo my entire network wiring to place it in a more central location. Now that I have had the modem for awhile the resets have stopped working. If i remove this router from the network and plug directly into the modem...back to 50.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best router for the money and service I am a digital graphics fine art artist, photographer, web designer and film maker. Have personally built computers designed to my needs for over 10 years. I have to say, with all the networking I do on a regular basis, this Linksys EA6500 SMART WiFi Wireless Router AC1750 HD Video Pro Dual-Band 802.11ac is by far the very best piece of equipment I have ever used for my business. I very highly recommend this router for anyone to use. The ease of use, the solid streaming and networking is incredible. I am thrilled to have bought this router.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Able to handle many connections It was time for a new router because I installed a Nexia home management system which streams a lot of video and other data to the Nexia server. My Belkin had worked well for many years but would lock up with the added load put to it. I decided to buy the best that Walmart had and it has worked well. I gave it 4 stars because I don't seem to have gained any signal strength and was expecting more to my garage. I may need to spend more money for a repeater to handle the wireless cameras out there. But for that I'd give it 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to use features Bought the router a few months ago to replace an aging cranky one that we finally had enough with! Didn't quite know what to expect with this brand bit it has proven to be one of a kind. Honestly don't think we have had to reboot since hooking it up! The old one was horrible and had to be reboot 3 times a day or more! Absolutely love all the features and the smart phone app is a breeze to navigate. Definitely recommend to just about anyone for any use out there!! They have earned my business for life that's for sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall good router, when it stays connected Overall, I think that this is a good router, and offers much better speed over my older one. To take full advantage of the speed (within your home network), you will need to upgrade your wireless computers with 802.11ac adapters. Set up was easy and all of my DLNA compliant devices were immediately visible, allowing me to stream my HD content. I have not had this router long enough to experience all of the other features it offers. The main problem that I have had over the last three weeks, as mentioned by another reviewer, is that it loses internet connectivity; has happened three times in the last two weeks...rebooting restores connectivity. Am in the process of troubleshooting with Linksys tech support, but I think the fix will end up being an eventual firmware upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Easy Installation I used this router to replace an old Linksys G router. The installation was ridiculously simple. I did not have to change my router name nor password. At first i would loose the signal about twice a week. At first I thought that it was because I bought a refurbished unit and was getting ready to contact Linksys. However, I went into the router settings, and changed everything in the 5G band to auto instead of the hard numbers that were there. Haven't had a problem since. I get a decent signal all over my small apartment without the need for any boosters. It is a great unit, but somewhat expensive. After I bought it, I read the router rankings in PC World magazine, ans the Asus router was actually rated better, and I believe it was even cheaper.

*The standard transmission rates—450 Mbps or 1300 Mbps (for 5 GHz), 300 Mbps (for 2.4 GHz), 54 Mbps, and 11 Mbps—are the physical data rates. Actual data throughput will be lower and may depend on the mix of wireless products used.
**Up to 4.3x faster physical data rate when compared to 802.11n Wi-Fi routers using two antennas to transmit and receive data. Actual speeds will vary depending on a number of factors. In order to achieve the best performance, router must be used with a compatible AC1300 wireless device.
