Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features but poor setup instructions. I bought the Cisco Linksys Wireless Access Point WAP300N 6 months ago and it is working as advertised. I have it set up in the Wireless Media Connector mode and have it connected to a Cisco Linksys Switch SE1500. This effectively extends my "wired network" for equipment in another room that is not wireless. For this configuration the only problem I have had is the setup instructions - they leave out one important first step.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LinkSys WAP300N, Highly recommended WAP300N (Linksys Wireless Access Point N300 Dual Band) (Personal Computers) this little guy works as advertized, highly recommended!...every area of my 1600sqft home is at 65+% signal...the furthest areas were at 15% signal previously...the bandwidth is just as fast wirelessly as it is wired...this was confirmed by using this device as a wireless access point...gets max theoretical down-load/up-load from ComCast...video-streaming is a breeze...tested with NetFlix & Amazon Prime...no stuttering what-so-ever... basically what i did to get this setup...i connected WAP to my router via ether net...this let DHCP give the WAP an IP..then i found WAP on my net work...right clicked to get to Web Page Setup...peace-of cake after that...i'm am definetly a manual configuration kind of person...and that is the only way i could get this to work...and work it does...good-luck & God'sSpeed...jo'c

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for its price The setting up of the access point is pretty easy. If you buy an access point you probably know how to set it up. The down side of the web interface is that every time you make a change the access point needs restart. And the web interface doesn't really scale very well (it stays small). But you get what you pay for and the range of the device isn't bad. Only to bad it only had a 100mbit/s port

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to setup and supports all legacy protocols If you have a working router/firewall and need just an access point the supports B,G,N formats for new as well as legacy devices this is the product for you. Easy setup with the enclosed CD and once installed can be accessed by any computer on the network if you know its IP address, Name and PW.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mising signal after one year I bought this product one year ago. Easy to set up and install expanding my wifi network. However, one year later, the signal is not as it used to be. When trying to connect with whatever device (smartphone, computer..) from locations that formerly where perfectly working it simply doesn't connect!. When comming close to the antenna (3meters) the connection finally operates. What happened?, some failure in the components??

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong Signal The WAP300N access point works fantastic. Easy installation. Hard wired from Linksys E2500 router to remote access point in center of house. Disabled router wi-fi. Only using access point now with stronger signal throughout our entire home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works I needed a wireless" range extender" that took input from RJ40 cable. It works well and was easy to set up. I wish they made one with the new bands. Unfortunately, I could not figure out how to can the old network name.

* Maximum performance derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual performance can vary, including lower Wireless-Network capacity, data throughput rate, range and coverage. Performance depends on many factors, conditions and variables, including distance from the access point, volume of network traffic, building materials and construction, operating system used, mix of wireless products used, interference and other adverse conditions.
