Rated 2 out of 5 by from Setup easy I have had the mini smart plugs for years and have always worked great. I got three of the light switches to add to my system. The lightswitches have been very frustrating. They installed easily enough and hooked up without difficulty. But every couple of days they will become unavailable in the app. Sometimes they show up on my wife phone but not mine sometimes vise versa. Frequently will not work with google. When the switches become unavailable Ill reset them and re pair them with the wifi and app and again they work for a few days before becoming unavailable again. Overall just very frustrating to work with. Been a bit of a dissapointment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Smart Home Addition! The Wemo Smart Light Switch is a great addition to any home's smart technology network. I used these switches for exterior lighting that I wanted to control with a nightly schedule and they work perfect. The switch looks grest and was fairly easy to install. The only downside to this product that kept it from a five star rating was the App setup process. I'm consider myself to have intermediate technology skillls and connecting this product to my network took quite a bit of effort that was not explained in the user manual. However, once connected to my network the App is easy to use and setup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Upgrade This is my second WeMo switch. The older one doesn’t work with Apple HomeKit (because I don’t have a bridge). This one has all of the great features you’d expect in a smart switch with the added bonus of working with HomeKit out of the box with no bridge. The WeMo iOS app is, in my opinion, one of the best but I’m excited to have the capability of using this in HomeKit instead of just a separate standalone app. Install is as easy as wiring in a regular light switch. We now have two WeMo switches - one wired to patio lights and this one wired to kitchen ceiling lights. Our favorite feature is the “away” mode - for random light on/off times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple Install - nice functionality I installed this on July 1 and found the install to be simple but probably not for the inexperienced. Often a stripped hole in the switch box requires using a larger screw - such was my case. I transferred the larger screw from the old switch but found that its round head did not allow the custom switch cover to install. After searching for a flat head screw, I was able to complete the install. The transition from the written instructions to the WEMO app was a little rough but I worked through it and the switch came up in the network. It responds nicely to remote command and the touch on and off is a nice feature. Definitely useful for any remote switch need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Need switches cover plate. Nice switch but if you're installing 3 switches Wemo should make cover plates for 2 and 3 switches.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Overall Value I just put in (3) light switches in the garage. The worse place in the house where everyone forgets to turn the outside lights on/off. Now they are on a schedule and the internal and spotlights are accessible from anywhere. The only reason I did not give 5-stars is the documentation and setup is a little kludgey. HomeKit didn't see the switch and the links in the app that go to the Belkin website go no where. Being technical, I figured it all out. Plus the three switches I replaced were wired in series, once I figures out Line vs. Load everything fell into place. I will be adding more throughout the house, may even put in a separate wifi network just for the automation stuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One sexy light switch This thing is packed full of features that, unfortunately, I haven't yet been able to take full advantage of since we don't use voice assistants in our home. Setup was pretty much effortless and the WeMo app is quite user-friendly. It's important to know you need to have a neutral wire running to your switch... We live in an older building and I was a little nervous we'd be in trouble, but as luck would have it we were able to complete the installation without any trouble! I dig the ability to randomize when the lights go on while away from home, but to really be usefull you kind of have to go all-out and buy a bunch of these. I'll cross that bridge a little further down the road.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Concept, but Too Bulky I was really excited to learn that Belkin had finally produced a 3-way WEMO switch. Upon learning this, I purchased two 3-way switches, along with a single pole switch. My plan was to install all three in a 3 gang switch box. My plans were quickly thwarted, when I learned that each switch (with the exception of the single pole) had five pigtail wires that were going to have to be wire-nutted! That's 10 wire-nuts for two switches. Now add the single pole switch, which is four more, and now were up to 14! There's no way this was all going to fit into the box. So disappointing. Might I suggest a switch re-design (like the ones I ended up purchasing instead), that allow for wires to be directly connected to the back of the switch without all of the pigtail wires.
