Years in the making, the WRT1900AC is the best router in its class. At speeds of 1.9 Gbps, it delivers unmatched performance for the most demanding networks. Equipped with the industry's first four-antenna configuration and professional-grade 1.3 GHz dual-core CPU, the WRT1900AC provides exceptional signal strength and range.

The WRT1900AC's four Gigabit Ethernet ports are perfect for transferring large media libraries at speeds 10 times faster than Fast Ethernet. To stream or send large files across your network at high speed, simply connect a flash drive to the USB 3.0 port or an external SATA storage device to the unique eSATA port. For printing or working with smaller files, the eSATA port also serves as a USB 2.0 port.

Linksys WRT1900AC Dual Band Gigabit Wi-Fi Router

The WRT1900AC features four external adjustable high-performance antennas that provide strong, reliable coverage throughout your home. This unique antenna diversity technology helps your laptop, tablet, smartphone, and other connected devices achieve optimal performance, wherever they are in the home. The antennas also enhance coverage for both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands, keeping everyone simultaneously gaming, downloading, and streaming without lag.

Designed especially for today's mobile-device household, the WRT1900AC features beamforming technology, which focuses wireless signals at a receiving device rather than simply sending out Wi-Fi in a general direction.

Beamforming also reduces interference from other devices for stronger Wi-Fi connections. It increases the efficiency of your network and expands its range, enabling you to enjoy high-bandwidth activities like streaming and gaming with ease.

With a professional-grade, 1.3 GHz dual-core ARM processor, the WRT1900AC is one of the fastest Wireless-AC routers in its class. Unlike standard single-core processors which have to switch between data streams and aren't as suited for multitasking, a dual-core processor can handle multiple data streams simultaneously. The result: better efficiency and performance, particularly in today's multi-device world.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible range Bought on Black Friday and did not use it till I moved into my house which was a couple months later. I was excited to use it only to find it had limited range and it seemed to have a slower speed than it should have. Just to make sure I bought a different router which didn't have as impressive specs but similar specs. The comparison router definitely had better range which only had three antennas not four. It also seemed to load faster. Very disappointing especially how expensive this router is. Linksys you have some things to fix. I thought you were the best so I bought your product but that was a mistake especially at the $200 price range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Linksys WRT1900AC This device is a piece of an Engineering marvel. We had searched for a device that can accommodate a simple parental control by device MAC address and day/time of the week. Some products don’t have such controls, the ones that have it require a monthly subscription that may not be affordable by the user. WRT1900AC serves this requirement very well without breaking the bank. Very well done. You may even have an edge over the competition if you develop a threat dictionary managed by a Linksys Intrusion Central repository that routers can constantly update their dictionary from, that will be a genius thing and a marketable edge over the competition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Unit Once I got the unit to link up to my Smart Wifi account, any issues I was having evaporated. It stays fully connected with no dropouts. Its fast and solid. I use it with the companion switch on my LAN of 15 devices and it handles that task effortlessly. I suggest that you create your Linksys Smart Wifi account first on the Linksys website and then DON'T choose to setup the router manually. This is where I went wrong. If the unit doesn't connect to the Smart Wifi account, it doesn't seem to be as stable as when it is connected. I am totally happy with this purchase now and have the capability to expand my network even further.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Linksys 1900AC Beware! The first 1900AC failed. I was sent the replacement which was a 1900AC V2 and ift has performance issues. I work in IT (16 years experience) and for years i have deployed almost every version of Linksys router. Explain to me how a EA6300 AC ($100) router out performs a 1900AC ($200) router. I pay for the top tier internet service and the speed differs by 15Mb download and 3MB upload when comparing the two. I am going to pursue a replacement and god forbid a refund. I am extremely dissatisfied. If Linksys (now owned by Belkin) does not do the right thing i will start purchasing and deploying a different companies routers and switches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! This thing is amazing! We don't get buffering when we watch movies anymore. We had a range extender with the last two routers we had since our house is long and skinny we didnt get WiFi on one end. The WRT1900AC is on one end and the bathroom is on the other. Lol my husband always complained about no signal and then even the extender wasn't even a reliable signal because of the junk routers we had. The WRT1900AC not only stays on but it stays strong and we dont even need the extender anymore. I love the app and being able to control my kids access. The guest access option. This thing has so many features. Great job! I haven't found a thing to complain about!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What's all the fuss about? I purchased this router from a local Micro Center and this thing is powerful. The range on the 5 GHz is the best I have seen on any router in this class, or above. The throughput is amazing, even at the furthest corner of the house. the 2.4 GHz band also has solid range. I see reviews all over the internet complaining about this router rebooting on it's own, dropping wireless clients, slow speeds, overheating, etc. LIES! I've experienced zero problems with this router under full load. I'm assuming a lot of theses negatives reviews are from the competition and internet trolls. I've also had no problem with the stock firmware. As an IT professional, I strongly recommend this router.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Money I bought this router a few months ago and it worked great at first but it's usefulness was very short lived. I kept it updated and in a well ventilated area of my bedroom but I experienced constant disconnects, data dips, and packet loss. I had to restart the router several times daily. When I tried to contact customer support, they seemed to think it was my fault. When I tried to inquire about a replacement, I was blatantly dismissed. So now I have this $200 router that's less than a year old that's basically unusable and Linksys doesn't seem to care.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't get the wi-fi to work right I purchased a WRT1900AC router over 4 months ago, went through setup and everything seemed to work well except that the range was much less than the WRT610N that I replaced. Within a week I experienced problems with the Wi-Fi dropping out for no apparent reason. All hard wired connections did not drop out so I knew it was not my ISP problem. I thought I had was a range issue so I bought a RE200 range extender and this did help the range issue but not the dropped Wi-Fi problem. Over the next couple of months I relocated the router until last week I did some rewiring and placed it 3 ft from my laptop. I still have the problem and I am now ready to trash this router and buy a replacement that works. Not a Linksys!!!!

*The standard transmission rates—450 Mbps or 1300 Mbps (for 5 GHz), 600 Mbps (for 2.4 GHz), 54 Mbps, and 11 Mbps—are the physical data rates. Actual data throughput will be lower and may depend on the mix of wireless products used and external factors.
