Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't recommend. Hours of frustration I've had to restart the entire Mesh system 3 times over the course of 3 years (which was the recommended route by Linksys support). Its remarkable spotty and although it works well with an ethernet hooked directly to it, any other wi-fi enabled device will have 99% packets lost and an average speed of only 5 Mbps. The other times it will max out at a quarter of the speed I get from directly connecting to my modem. This is even when I'm within 5 feet of the router node. Highly do not recommend if you do not want terrible wi-fi connections.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Whole House coverage Bought factory refurbished Linksys MR9000 to replace a five year old non-mesh capable Linksys router and got a DEAL on three node WHW01 mesh system for 25% of one node cost new. I live in rural area and have access to T-Mobile 5g home internet but with previous router had spotty streaming in the TV. Metal roof does not help, but three nodes and centrally located router (parent) I can connect multiple devices with two streaming TVs and never miss a beat. CAT6 cable locates the Linsys system 35 feet, around a corner and through two walls away from internet receiver/transmitter. Printer capability is even wireless and behind a metal wall. Excellent coverage throughout 2,000 sq ft. home.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overpriced and overrated I bought this, not surprisingly, three years ago. Right about the time I started recommending this router to others the problems started happening. I was hoping to get maybe 5 years out of it before the miscommunication with my modem started to happen. It may or may not stay online all day, before dropping the signal and spending the next 10 minutes trying to get back up and running. Started off great, ended with the classic "Warranty Up" scenario with products sold in the US

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful management Linksys makes it impossible to manage this router locally. They continually push you to their app and online account service. Now they just killed support on a mobile browser of any kind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coverage We bought this to provide WiFi calling inside a large metal warehouse where phone reception was non existent. This system works great, providing excellent WiFi signal in all areas.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped Working After 3 Months I bought this over a year ago and had such difficulties with it. It worked for a little over 3 months then started acting up. Tried to get help with it but it would only work for a few days before acting up again. I would not recommend this product if you want something long term.

can it be housed in a cabinet

Asked by: Ann W
Hi, Ann W. The nodes can be placed inside a cabinet. However, there are some factors to consider, including ventilation, space availability, accessibility, and potential interferences that might affect the wireless signal.

I have 2 AC2600 from my ISP provider. Currently at 1gbps plan, getting 100-500mbps on wired and only up to 150mbps on wireless on all devices. Is the AC2600 mesh not compatible?

Asked by: Clarice
Hi, Clarice. You can try running the channel finder and manually change the wifi channel for isolation. When testing the speed, make sure that your device is connected to the 5Ghz network to get proper results. Ensure that no running downloads and streaming on the device background and so as make sure that the device prioritization is disabled as this will affect speed results too. How do I activate

Asked by: Amber j
Hi, Amber. For our Linksys devices including the WHW0101 to work, the router should be connected to an upstream or modem/gateway device with an active internet connection.

Compatible with WHW0102

Asked by: Luihum
I wouldn’t know. I dropped that product over a year ago. It would not work. And cost money that I wasted. Or should I say it was a waste of money I never went after a refund. And I tried for weeks to get it to work.

Can I set my system to only be at 2.4ghz? And how.

Asked by: Nacho
Certainly, you can disable your 5ghz network should you like to use the 2.4Ghz network only. To do that, please click this link as your guide: https://www.linksys.com/support-article?articleNum=316912. Before doing so, please don’t forget to click the small CA link at the bottom right-side of the dashboard to access the advance setting of the node.

can i turn wifi automaticly off at night

Asked by: borut
Don't know of any automatic way of doing it but you could just unplug the internet connection. I would not want to power down the system because booting back up every morning would be a chore. I was trying to think of why you would want that, then I remember what my kids were like when they were young! All adults now...

‡Maximum Performance derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual performance may vary, including lower wireless network capacity, data throughput rate, speed, range and coverage. Performance depends upon many factors, conditions and variables, including building materials and construction, volume of network traffic, mix of wireless products used, interference and other adverse conditions. In order to achieve the best performance, this product must be used with compatible AC1300 wireless devices. The standard transmission rates for each node—867 Mbps (for 5 GHz radio), 400 Mbps (for 2.4 GHz)—are the physical data rates. Actual data throughput will be lower and may depend on the mix of wireless products used and external factors.
