Accessing the Setup Page of the WGA54G Using Mac

The Linksys Wireless-G Game Adapter (WGA54G) has a built-in web-based setup page that allows the user to customize settings and set up advanced properties.

NOTE: Before accessing the WGA54G’s web-based setup page, make sure that the Game Adapter is powered on and that it’s wired to one of the Ethernet ports on the router (1, 2, 3 or 4).

Accessing the Game Adapter’s Web-Based Setup Page

Step 1:
Open a web browser such as Safari.

Step 2:
Go to the Address bar and enter your router’s IP Address (“192.168.1.250” is the default IP of the WGA54G) then press [Return].

NOTE: If the IP address of the WGA54G has been changed, type the WGA54G’s IP address in the Address bar instead.

The WGA54G’s IP address can be changed by:

  • Running the WGA54G’s setup CD.
  • Changing it on the WGA54G’s web-based setup page.

If you forgot the WGA54G’s IP address you can:

  • Press the Reset button underneath the antenna for 30 seconds.

NOTE: This procedure will reset the WGA54G to factory defaults. Any settings on the Game Adapter will be erased. The Game Adapter’s IP address will be “192.168.1.250” and the password will be “admin” after resetting.

Step 3:
A new window will prompt for a User name and Password. Leave the User name space blank, type in the WGA54G’s password (“admin” is the default password), then click OK.

NOTE: If the password of the WGA54G has been changed, type the Game Adapter’s new password in the Password field instead.

The Game Adapter’s password can be changed by:

  • Running the WGA54G’s setup CD.
  • Changing it on the WGA54G’s web-based setup page.
