Accessing the router’s web-based setup page on an Android tablet

The Android™ tablet lets you access your router’s web-based setup page through its browser.  Follow the steps below to learn how to do this:

NOTE:  A Samsung Galaxy Tab® 10.1 is used as an example in this article.

Step 1:
On your Home screen, tap Apps.

Step 2:
Select Browser.

Step 3:
Enter “192.168.1.1” in the Address bar, then tap the arrow beside it or hit [Enter] on your keyboard.

NOTE:  If you have changed the router’s IP address, enter the new one instead.

IMPORTANT:  To successfully log in to the router's web-based setup page, make sure your Android™ tablet is connected to your router's Wi-Fi.  If it's not connected yet, click here for instructions on how to.

Step 4:
You will then be prompted for the router’s username and password.  Enter your router’s login credentials in the provided fields, then tap Sign in.

NOTE:  The Linksys router’s default password is “admin”.

You should now have successfully accessed the router’s web-based setup page through your Android™ tablet.
